Your Milky Way Horoscope Nov. 2-8
The week kicks off with Neptune going stationary direct on Sunday. I’m a little leery of this happening days before the election; don’t believe everything that comes out at the last minute. Ceres enters Virgo, a natural home, on Wednesday while its ruler Mercury enters Scorpio on Tuesday. Could this bode well for a new look at what tinkering with biotech has really brought us?
Election day opens with a Mercury sextile to Pluto 12:31 am Eastern. That aspect promotes a craving for puzzles and also investigative reporting. Perhaps the news will have more actual scoops and less rehash of what the P.R. flacks hand out. Mars squares Neptune two hours later: Everyone’s energy is at a low ebb; and one’s resolve to keep going is tested. Doubt and insecurity can gain the upper hand with this transit, but faith can win out if you want the greater good. With Saturn opposing Uranus, our yearning to break free of the past is uppermost. If peaceful change is frustrated, riot and revolution are the only alternatives. We really have a grand square — Saturn, Uranus, Venus and Pallas Athena square each other in mutable signs. Venus, our values in this case, can determine the outcome of this day, altho Pallas could indicate things become a legal matter.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Oct. 26-Nov. 1
Happy pre-Halloween New Moon at 5 degrees Scorpio on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at about 7:14 pm Eastern time. The Sun and Mars are already waiting in Scorpio, and if they can find another golfer they can finally get a foursome together. (small joke) So anyway, the energy is getting more intense in the coming weeks, more focused on survival as well as focusing one’s spiritual strength. The Sun, Mars, and Moon fill in a T-square against Neptune in Aquarius and Ceres in Leo, along with the Nodes in the same signs. The pressure may actually be defused or burned off a bit by the better known continuing opposition between Uranus in Pisces and Saturn in Virgo, as Scorpio gets along better with both signs.
And what does all this mean for you, the reader, you may ask? It means that decisions will have to be made, no more putting things on hold. These are fixed signs — Scorpio, Leo, and Aquarius — and probably a few egos will get dented as folks dig in their heels, or get competitive, or just retreat to their private corners where they don’t have to put up with a bunch of fools. Should make for some great football games this fall, tho.

What’s Happening With The Stock Market????
Amazing downturn these last few weeks on Wall Street. It goes down when the bailout bill does not pass. Then it goes down when the amended bailout does pass. Then it goes down some more for who knows what reason. From a high in the 14,000 range, it has fallen to below 9,000. What is going on astrologically?
For one thing, the period of Mercury retrograde has not helped us to deal with the mortgage crisis, the foreclosure crisis, the credit crunch, or any of the other negative news. Mercury is finally going direct this Wednesday, Oct. 15. It will be none too soon. But of course Mercury goes retrograde three times a year, so we cannot lay everything at his dainty winged feet. He’s only the messenger, after all.
