Feng Shui Stars for July 2009

I thought it might be fun to offer some information on the forecast for July 2009 using the Chinese system of Feng Shui. If there is interest in this, then I will add other articles from time to time that are Feng Shui-related.

 Feng Shui translates literally as “wind water” and attempts to harness and harmonize the natural energies of the earth. Perhaps some of you have read articles on how to arrange your household or office furniture in order to create harmony and prosperity in your life.

 Your home, apartment, or office, can be mapped into the eight sectors of the BaGua octagon. Each floor of a house can be divided into the eight sectors, as can each room of a house. The eight are the North, Northwest, West, Southwest, South, Southeast, East and Northeast. Some systems also recognize the center as a special place of its own.

 In addition to that level of Feng Shui, there are other levels or “stars” that apply to that particular year or month.

 In July, the effects of positive and negative “monthly stars” is doubled because the monthly stars and annual stars are the same. So this sounds like a month to take special care when driving and signing contracts.

 This doubling of effects applies to both positive and negative energies from the universe. What follows are cautions regarding specific directions or corners of your home or office. Bear in mind that while the number 8 is traditionally associated with wealth, your own best numbers are paramount.  NORTH: North is seen as a direction to be avoided. Do not use the North sector of your home for signing contracts, for one thing. Do not do anything in this sector that falls under the heading of “renovations” and that includes nailing anything. If you have a North sector door or bedroom, you might even consider using another room to sleep in for the month, or even go on holiday (you can do that if you live in Europe).

 SOUTHEAST: The double 8’s this month brings potential for wealth but also because this is summer, the influence favors consolidating finances. In other words, if your main door is in the Southeast, this is not a month for quick gains or liquidations.

Bear in mind the feng shui of the land around your door; for example if there is a hill to the Southeast of your door, then financial gains and other positive effects will probably not be felt. A natural lake in this direction is always a boon and especially this month, a lake would act to bring out the maximum benefits for your financial situation.

 WEST: The advice for this sector is very mixed. First, it is a portent of skin problems or stomach problems. However, if there is a hill or mountain to the West, then you could see “wealth from property-related ventures”. If you are in the farming or realty business, you could see a surprising upturn in your fortunes.

 SOUTHWEST: Too much energy in this sector is seen as a bad influence and produces stagnation. If you have an office in this sector, you could run into deadlocks with authority. Also it will seem like the old rules do not work, and you may have to think out of the box. Here again, a body of water in the Southwest is very favorable and you should not feel barriers to progress.

 Make note of these directions and sectors, and see if any of this advice from Mastery Academy holds true for you. Make note in your calendar, diary, or agenda of your activities and events.

 OK, that’s four directions out of eight. If you have your front door or office or bedroom in any of the other four (South, East, Northeast, Northwest) then by all means keep using those sectors. If you are taking a vacation or trip in July, try to travel in those directions that I just listed.
