Fourth Week September 2007

Can I digress from astrology for a moment? Dr. Barbara Derrick is seeking participants in a promising non-pharmaceutical approach to treating victims of Alzheimer’s Disease. Anyone who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, or health care facilities that are interested in replicating the study conducted at Mattie C Hall Health Care Center, may contact the ABC Holistic Health Wellness Foundation. The address is 204 Trestlewood Dr., Summerville, SC, 29483-1824. You may call 757-457-7231 to order a copy of the report ‘Report of Suggestive Therapy’  or how to use the program in ‘Suggestive Therapy for the Relief of Alzheimer’s Disease.’
A brief description of the approach is given in the online July issue of the American Holistic Health Assn. at http://ahha.org/articles.asp?Id=116. In this article, author Dr. Barbara Derrick talks about its use with a widower named Wally who lived at home alone.
Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop

Aries – March 20-April 19 – Serge Lifar – There’s a Full Moon in your sign on Wednesday pm. It will be good for the kick-off of efforts to express your Values, whether they are People Values, Artistic Values, or whatever. Perhaps you were inspired by the soaring voice of Mr. Pavarotti, who passed away earlier this month. His recordings were played frequently in tribute, and his voice will continue to inspire and uplift for decades to come. Perhaps some form of tribute will materialize. Your gifts can be just as eternal if you are dedicated to developing them.

Taurus – April 20-May 20 – Martha Graham – Your mind turns to delving beneath the surface Fri-Sat. This is favorable for research of all kinds – maybe you wind up poring thru archives of performances or their reviews. Also you might knock off work for one last pool party or just work off excess energy by doing laps. Do be careful of pool safety, of course, and quit before you get cramps, OK?

Gemini – May 21-June 20 – Isadora Duncan – Wednesday is great for communications regarding athletic endeavors (dance included). The flip side could be very emotionally-charged words flying over the airwaves and cyberspace. So take care before responding so as not to escalate matters. Can I pass along an affirmation from Raymon Grace?:”May I always be in the right place at the right time to do as much good as possible.” Geminis buzz around so fast you are just about everywhere at once, so the odds are good you could be in exactly the right place where you are needed at just that moment.

Cancer – June 21-July 22 – Twyla Tharp – You start getting your batteries recharged just in time for the weekend. This opportunity will last till the end of the year — then a bit of a setback till early March of 2008 when you continue to progress till May. If you are not on a healthy regimen now, it is a great time to get into one. Consider going to a spa or retreat this fall to help get you excited about remodeling yourself.

Leo – July 23-Aug. 22 – Mata Hari – Pay attention to your mail and other communications. That grant is up for grabs altho you may have to follow up, or rescue your proposal from the dead-letter box. Send out a follow-up letter or phone call. Financial restraint is the word for the next 2-3 years, even if cash flow is improving. So make a plan and call on an advisor for recommendations. Leos like to make a splash with big purchases, but please, we’d love it if you just came to dinner.

Virgo – Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Agnes deMille – This is a good period to launch your health-wise website, blog, or radio programming. You’re self-discipline applies to managing your time and keeping everyone happy at home, too. Personal exposure also helps promote your services. People like to put a face to a voice or webpage, so do those promotional gigs and interviews. My only caveat is that your attention to detail can be obsessive; farm out what you can to trusted pros.

Libra – Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Juliet Prowse – This is a good Autumn for you. You probably always like Fall, because you just feel more like yourself, but this half of the month gives a rare opportunity to communicate the arts with great impact. You can showcase performers, music and writing and achieve a real synergy of talent. Perhaps a friend has a vineyard or other scenic vista you can visit on weekends for a photographic or painting series.

Scorpio – Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Savion Glover – Some money sectors are activated Sept-Oct. I hope you have not been caught up in the realty downturn, and are able to keep up with mortgage/debts. If you do get a notice from your banker, be proactive because there is help available; you may have to dig for it. And if you are in a comfortable position, the opportunities are there for scooping up good properties. Performance artists are entering a very favorable period for vibrant interpretations of works, especially of new, foreign, or avant garde pieces.

Sagittarius – Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Sammy Davis, Jr. – Did you ever have a ‘challenge piece’? Something that you took on just to see if you could sell it at the flea market or wherever? I think you have a challenge piece this week, which may work out in a surprising way. Maybe you can list it on Craig’s List. In career matters, you find yourself working much harder. Longer hours and picky details will drive you crazy, but what can you do? Make hay while the sun shines…

Capricorn – Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – Debbie Allen – Business dealings related to communications are accented now. Sales of dance or other arts tickets is good, but check records for errors. Funds can slip away in computer glitches. Head off big problems while they’re small; seek feedback from employees and suppliers to smooth out bottlenecks. Tensions are high with partners over career. It could be that your wonderful spouse is worried about your mistress Work; make time for loved ones.

Aquarius – Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Ruth St. Denis – You’re one of the spokes of the wheel in a creative team. Enjoy having the opportunity to express and develop your talents. Public approval is soon forthcoming. The only item to mar the picture is you still need financial discipline. Find a program to invest modest amounts on a regular basis for your long-term best interests.

Pisces – Feb. 18-March 19 – Rudolf Nureyev – The early part of the week can be fairly serious. You feel more like watching a documentary Monday rather than a comedy. Or you take work home with you. Tuesday brings a momentary panic over whether you have enough in the checking account for expenses, or enough food in the pantry for surprise visitors. You’ll improvise – you always find a way around temporary snafus.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
