Third Week September 2007

September 14, 2007 at 1:19 pm

The months ahead finds lots of us obsessing on the idea of perfection. “Oh, I had things so perfect (or so close to perfect) and then X had to happen.” What we will find is that perfection is an illusion, along with happiness or success. We thought that the word described a condition, rather than a process. Spin the kaleidoscope and see how each view is just as perfect as the next. So is our life — each month or year is totally perfect in the sense that it brings us closer to our best self. Free instructions on taking digital photos of a kaleidoscope at http://kaleidoscopeheaven.org/he00005.htm
Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop

Aries – March 20-April 19 – Sergei Diaghilev – You hate to admit you may have bitten off more than you can chew this month. The demands on your time and energies are pretty severe, but you decide to just dig in and hang tough for now. Don’t ignore your needs for petty things like food now and then, or a few hours’ sleep. You’ll get a lot more done in the end. Also private counsel with a legal rep can prove very helpful.

Taurus – April 20-May 20 – Audrey Hepburn – A tremendously energizing period for Taurus rising, especially, this month. Lots of creative ideas early in the week; keeping a schedule or log helps you keep track of them before inspiration is lost. Just be careful about running up debt, especially for insurance. Don’t buy more than you need. Am tempted to suggest hiding the credit cards from yourself, but your feet are too firmly on the ground to get carried away, aren’t they?

Gemini – May 21-June 20 – Henry LeTang – Focusing your energies may feel strange to you, accustomed as you are to juggling ten things at once. But remember that trick with a magnifying lens igniting a fire? No, I don’t mean for you to go out setting fires! I’m saying that you could leave us all in the dust if you concentrated on just one (OK maybe two) things this week.

Cancer – June 21-July 22 – Bob Fosse – Financial pressures finally ease off, and cash flow looks much better. The money’s more fun, too, because it comes from something that means more to you than just a job. If I have any caution for you at all, it is to avoid spending it as fast as you make it, and also any excesses that may affect your health. Double-check that you don’t pay for something the insurance should cover.

Leo – July 23-Aug. 22 – Leonide Massine – Monday pm is good for effectively communicating your values or esthetic sense. Make your presentations that day, and go all out with multi-media and samples. Friday late is awful for budgeting or anything too practical, as you will always rationalize any excuse to go over budget. Don’t fall in love with a color scheme for example, till you run it by the costume designer or set decorator. A wealth of options present themselves, and you hate having to pick just one.

Virgo – Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Gene Kelly – Monday finds you untypically digging in your heels on a point of contention. Please, step back for a moment. Are you arguing just to be right or to better serve the customer? Do a quick engine search to see if there is some info tidbit you’ve all overlooked, which changes everything. Try to see the forest rather than the trees. Also don’t get suckered into thinking losing some weight will make you perfect.
Libra – Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Arthur Duncan – Monday pm is good for shopping the sales, especially for beauty supplies. Tuesday be cautious in accepting anyone’s word for something; verify thru independent checking and avoid wishful thinking. On the other hand, it is a day better spent in musical or creative pursuits. Artistic success comes this week in vibrant performance in any medium.

Scorpio – Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – Eleanor Powell – Scorpio rising, especially, enjoys playing with electronic or other unusual sounds and materials this week. Try to find sample sizes of paints, for example, to experiment with. You are also tempted to ruin the budget this month, so it is best to send others to shop with your list. Otherwise you’ll buy six when you only needed one!

Sagittarius – Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Hermes Pan – The week is one long tussle, but you’ll find that the more you learn about the issues, the better you’re able to adapt to new realities. Otherwise your competition will use you for mopping floors! Darwin said those who survived were not the strongest or smartest, just the most adaptable. So make like a chameleon and adapt.

Capricorn – Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – Moira Shearer – The staff looks to you to keep a cool head, especially later in the week. You may deal with signing off on new office guidelines, which means delivering bad news to some. They’ll get over it if they see that the new rules are applied fairly. A harmonious duet gets the weekend off to a harmonious start with your spouse or other partner.

Aquarius – Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Gregory Hines – Those struggling to maintain their energy levels and avoid injuries may benefit from gentle disciplines like yoga or tai chi. A strong teacher can give you a lifetime skill that is a lifeline to you. Daily practice, like the raindrops wearing down a stone, produce unbelievable results.

Pisces – Feb. 18-March 19 – Cyd Charisse – Stop the world, you want to get off! You’re not used to so much tug-of-war with you as the rope. After hours becomes your favorite time of day, because you are quite good at leaving the job behind. Your partner or significant other inherits the reins, and all in all, I think you prefer it that way.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
