Your Milky Way Horoscope

By Milky Way Maid

The Moon is conjunct Jupiter Sunday a.m. the 2nd — a fun, jovial mood prevails at the brunch buffet, but try not to overdo on the bakery. But invite extra friends along to multiply the fun. The other major celestial event this week is the Mars opposition to Pluto early Friday a.m. This does not bode well for commuters. At best it means huge traffic snarls, and at worst some multi-vehicle accidents — altho a stock market jittery over the mortgage situation is another possibility. Time of day given in any case is Eastern Time, so please adjust accordingly if you live in another time zone. Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. This week’s bonus feature: Read ‘Did a “Big Bang” in Our Solar System Create Venus as We Know It?’ at the Daily Galaxy website here: http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2008/02/did-a-big-bang.html

Aries – March 20-April 19 – The prospect of picking fresh salad from your own garden has you eagerly planning your vegetable plot. Take timeouts for a quick pickup game in the neighborhood. Your best days this month are on this weekend. Saturday a.m. calls for a big effort, so I see you running earth-movers digging a foundation for a new garage or some garden project.

Taurus – April 20-May 20 – A course of study in the field of music, a service profession, allied health, or teacher certification, looks promising. Career and professional organizations are buzzing with news and messages. The first quarter of the year, your primary focus is on your diet. Not necessarily to lose weight, but to create a diet that is healthful and truly nourishes your body.

Gemini – May 21-June 20 – This week is your best chance to finish up any extra projects or classes, because after that, Mars will be leaving your sign and you will be back to your normal (multi-tasking) self. Hope you got a lot done while you were in overdrive! Finish that book, submit that article, polish that draft. Use caution in Friday a.m. commuter traffic, because Mars is opposing Pluto then.Cancer – June 21-July 22 – Ah, that low ebb of physical energy will start to get replenished when Mars re-enters your sign on the 4th. Start a new exercise routine even if it’s only 15 minutes a day. Really, you will feel the wind in your sails again. (Caution early Friday, tho, go slow to avoid injury.) Giving a talk or lecture (on the 2nd) nets you some good feedback and more contacts, so go for it. Watching a romantic film also recharges your batteries.Leo – July 23-Aug. 22 – Your partner (spouse or business partner) is a blur of activity this month. You might feel neglected if left to sit at home, so tag along and pitch in with his or her interests. Monday is great for being in the spotlight at work; accept the kudos that come your way with good grace. Group sports gives you a real high with a near-perfect game. Discipline is still the keyword in personal finances.Virgo – Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – A workplace consultant finds just what you need; regular meetings with some advisor or mentor will be very helpful to grow your business. Take advantage of a TV or internet event to put your work in front of the public. Write a blog or review, or post an informative video online. Keeping up with attempts to gut food regulations could be a full-time job.

Libra – Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – A quiet Sunday (the 2nd) at home is idyllic; put out a colorful brunch for the whole family, or host one of your smashing dinner parties. Your group chairmanship calls on your unique talents; offer to teach a class in order to foster younger members. You enjoy watching a sporting event with the kids, probably early in the week. Great game! Scorpio – Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – It’s definitely a week for comedy in entertainment area. A mother figure gives some good advice on organizing your finances and home. Organic food issues make you switch your grocery shopping to a health food co-op. You will wonder why you stayed away so long, because you’ll love the flavor and quality. Tip: sign up for a free newsletter from Organic Consumers Assn.

Sagittarius – Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – A clash of personalities finally comes to a head; try not to say anything you will regret because patching it over is not so easy. Losing a tenant or roommate will not affect your finances immediately, but I sure hope you have socked away a little something. Long hours at work make you want to veg out in front of the TV. Avoid commuter snarls Friday morn if at all possible. Capricorn – Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – Sunday the 2nd is perfect for hosting a bountiful dinner party for family or associates. A midday Monday meeting with the bank nets you an adjustment to terms; a male associate provides creative insights. A Thursday afternoon conference is optimistic and fruitful. Late Friday morn is good for getting the public or associates on board with your grand vision for the company. Aquarius – Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Sunday eve (the 2nd) is good for enjoying a comedy. Make sure you are really awake early Wed. when using tools because injuries to the hands are possible. Later that morn is better for such work or for writing-calling-messages — everyone says yes. The afternoon is really better for knocking off work for a late lunch and movie matinee; your head will be in the clouds anyway. Thurs. night is great for a romantic dinner.

Pisces – Feb. 18-March 19 – Thursday morn is good for dealing with the bank or insurer on your account. Submit or followup on an insurance claim, or refinance a loan. The afternoon will not find them so receptive – then ask to speak to a supervisor for clarification. Creative projects get a boost if started noonish Friday. Saturday afternoon you get so upset about something, you better go home and chill out in front of the TV.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
