Your Milky Way Horoscope June 1-7
By Milky Way Maid
A New Moon on Tuesday at 13 degrees Gemini is especially powerful as it conjuncts Venus, the Sun, and Mercury and also sextiles Mars in Leo. This is a LOT of Geminian energy, creating a lot of chatter, messaging, and news reports, but with Mercury retrograde I think that much of our efforts will have to be repeated, done over, or corrected after Mercury goes direct. Possibly facts will come to light that show where errors in calculations were made, such as with space modules that were programmed incorrectly and crash into their targets. The sextile to Mars is funny because the NASA module just landed on that planet, but Geminians might meet their significant other at a party or get married, or just have a great time playing sports. Mercury is also squaring Uranus — giving problems with electronic or mechanical objects — and trining Neptune and the North Node — giving you a chance to revisit metaphysical subjects or personal growth life-paths. The number 13 is a soul number, meaning that events initiated on this day may not prosper materially, but you will find spiritual growth in facing challenges or studying metaphysical books.
PS – Saturday should be a GREAT day to hold a rummage sale! Mercury, Sun, Venus all conjunct each other in the early am, meaning that buyers and sellers agree on a price.
Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop
ARIES – March 20-April 19 – The Gemini New Moon Tuesday really revs up your third house of communications and local surroundings. Its sextile to Mars in Leo suggests that you may be the coordinator, coach, or manager for a local sports league. I once knew a guy who worked in an office all week but coached a local softball team on the weekend. I also knew a dentist who coached a kids’ baseball team. You, too, may find this a rewarding activity and in ways you never imagined.
TAURUS – April 20-May 20 – The Moon is in your sign Sunday and most of Monday. That Moon will square Mars midday or early afternoon — try to ignore irritations or lashing out without thinking (great for finding the energy to fix those nagging items, tho). The Moon trines Jupiter early am Monday — you may wake in a great mood, possibly recalling a great dream. Your solar second house is activated by the New Moon in Gemini: apply for commissions or grants, review your finances, explore your options in getting your second career on track. This can kick off a great boom time for you, so get out and beat the bushes.
GEMINI – May 21-June 20 – This is quite a week for you, with a New Moon in your sign on Tuesday. Those with birthdays around June 3 will be especially affected. It will probably be quite a busy day, which you love! You will get a chance to shine in the spotlight as you deliver news/messages, fix electronic items, play at sports after work, go to a party, meet or pair off with a fascinating member of the opposite sex. That Mercury is retrograde may mean that you lose the phone number of this fascinating person, or that this is a second meeting (after a first meetup that produced no sparks) and now you finally get the chance to catch up with each other — or even that you knew each other in a past life. Don’t lose that phone number this time!
CANCER – June 21-July 22 – The Moon enters your sign on Wednesday afternoon and stays till 6 pm Eastern Friday evening. Thursday it has no aspects which gives you a free ride to accomplish routines without upsets or new crises. Friday has several aspects in the early morn, some of which may activate your creative, loving and giving impulses. You may play host to grandkids or visitors, or concentrate on a film/music/painting project all day till the Moon enters Leo. Cancerians are not usually thought of as being creative people except in the kitchen, but that is an error. Cancerians are very creative, and often manage to bring their creative inspirations into material form. A favorite pasttime, and one that has grown like gangbusters the past decade or so, is scrapbooking. Cancerians love anything that is family-oriented, and they love celebrating each of their children and every generation of the family. They are the best at this.
LEO – July 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon enters Leo about 6 pm Eastern on Friday, perfect for you to take center stage all weekend. Your Leo Moon will sextile that Gemini stellium of Sun-Venus-Mercury on Saturday, giving you a huge boost. You may auction off a record-breaking collection if in the auction business, or emcee a beauty pageant or conference. Whatever your plans are that day, you will have a big hand in the success of the program, but especially in sales. Sunday will be more of a mixed bag, with your Moon inconjunct Jupiter and then Uranus suggesting you look for creative projects or make adjustments to loans or health routines. The Moon opposite Neptune, tho, makes me inclined to guess you will take the family to the beach, do some laps at the local pool, or just laze by the little inflatable as the kids play in it.
VIRGO – Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – The Moon squares Saturn in your sign on Monday evening, then sextile sit on Wed. evening. Both provide opportunities to cross off lots of chores from your to-do list, tho Monday you may be slow to get going. Possibly Monday you will be distracted by a female boss or work associate, someone who throws a stack of papers on your desk late in the day and begs for your help. Be glad that someone recognizes that you as someone who’ll get it done right the first time! Wednesday also puts an accent on club (or other groups) duties — like balancing the club accounts or keeping minutes of the meeting. Virgoans are typically very meticulous about at least one thing, and with Saturn transiting thru your sign, that trait is accented even more to the point of being methodical, even obsessive. Try not to be that way about everything, Virg.
LIBRA – Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – This Gemini New Moon on Tuesday accents your solar ninth house of travel and higher education. With the sextile to Mars in Leo, this may bring an opportunity to travel with a group, such as a school group, a tour, a research organization, or even Elderhostel. Group travel can be a real bargain so do look into this. Those born around Oct. 3 are especially affected. Thursday can be a great day to clear lots of chores off your desk. Saturday can be lots of fun in group getaways to sporting events or just grilling dinner for a picnic.
SCORPIO – Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Gemini New Moon on Tuesday gives an opportunity to recharge your batteries, and also deal with mundane matters like loans, credit, debts, estates. The Moon’s sextile to Mars in Leo high in your chart also means you are more likely to venture out in public more, even if its only to take a run around the neighborhood. Emceeing a charity auction can provide a surprising thrill for you.
SAGITTARIUS – Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Gemini New Moon puts your significant other in the spotlight — try not to resent them for that, because I know you really feel you are the star everywhere you go. Be encouraging of your spouse or partner’s inner needs for growth and challenges, even if he/she wants to go back to school for another degree. Vesta in your fifth house of creativity provides just the right venue or supplies for expressing yourself. It’s square Jupiter in your second so try not to go overboard in spending on materials.
CAPRICORN – Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The New Moon in your solar sixth house affects either health issues or work or both. With Jupiter transiting thru your sign, I am going to guess that overdoing things is the cause of any health issues, especially on the 4th when an inconjunct gives an opportunity to make constructive adjustments to your lifestyle. Whereas before you slathered on the sour cream or mayo, try substituting avocado, peanut or almond butter, or yogurt. Where you dumped croutons on your salad, try walnuts or seeds instead. The Moon sextile to Mars in your solar eighth house means you can recharge your batteries with a few minutes of crunches, free weights, or other exercise.
AQUARIUS – Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – The Gemini New Moon on Tuesday accents your fifth house of creativity. What a great placement for this New Moon! You may acquire not one but two new forms of self-expression. This may be a physical expression, like dance, or a written form like writing or story-telling, or vocal like singing or chanting. Reading to kids at the library could be an excellent way for you to express yourself as you do different voices, etc. Volunteering at the children’s tent at the local art festival is another great opportunity. Leading a children’s art, music, or dance class is another. Even if you don’t have kids of your own, I think children will also be brought into your life in some way.
PISCES – Feb. 18-March 19 – The Gemini New Moon on Tuesday puts an accent on your solar fourth house of home and family. This is a generally positive New Moon, and I see reason to hope for improved health of family members, especially if you take the opportunity to make painless substitutions in menus or habits. It may also bring some renovations or just painting jobs to freshen the home’s appearance. You could also benefit from the decorating advice or business referral from a mother-in-law. Saturn in the seventh house may find your spouse/partner is less supportive, but you are leaning restraint and self-discipline from him or her.
