Your Milky Way Horoscope Nov. 2-8

By Milky Way Maid

The week kicks off with Neptune going stationary direct on Sunday. I’m a little leery of this happening days before the election; don’t believe everything that comes out at the last minute. Ceres enters Virgo, a natural home, on Wednesday while its ruler Mercury enters Scorpio on Tuesday. Could this bode well for a new look at what tinkering with biotech has really brought us?

Election day opens with a Mercury sextile to Pluto 12:31 am Eastern. That aspect promotes a craving for puzzles and also investigative reporting. Perhaps the news will have more actual scoops and less rehash of what the P.R. flacks hand out. Mars squares Neptune two hours later: Everyone’s energy is at a low ebb; and one’s resolve to keep going is tested. Doubt and insecurity can gain the upper hand with this transit, but faith can win out if you want the greater good. With Saturn opposing Uranus, our yearning to break free of the past is uppermost. If peaceful change is frustrated, riot and revolution are the only alternatives. We really have a grand square — Saturn, Uranus, Venus and Pallas Athena square each other in mutable signs. Venus, our values in this case, can determine the outcome of this day, altho Pallas could indicate things become a legal matter.

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop.

March 20-April 19 – The grand-square of Saturn, Uranus, Pallas Athena and Venus affects your third, sixth, ninth and twelfth houses. The people around you may be more directly affected by these transits, but you are left trying to keep up the spirits of family members. Jupiter is still trining Saturn in solar houses of work, so your job looks steady right now.

April 20-May 20 – Transiting asteroid Vesta in your sign gives more of a push to your spiritual search and growth. Mercury will oppose it from Scorpio, suggesting you might be moved to write about this subject or at least keep a journal. And Ceres trines Vesta from Virgo in your solar fifth house of fun, arts and entertainment, gambles, speculation. Ceres may mean you learn how to shepherd your investments better; when you figure that out, send us all some lessons.

May 21-June 20 – The asteroid Pallas Athena in your sign opposes Venus in Sag, and squares the Saturn-Uranus axis. If you are a lawyer or advocate of some kind, you will have a very challenging week defending the rights of your client. The areas of health and labor are also very active this coming month, with Mercury, Sun and Mars in Scorpio, so research your own health issues so you can make informed decisions about health care. Jupiter in your eighth house may protect your pooled funds (mutual funds?) from erosion of value in these volatile times, or bring legacies or insurance payoffs.

June 21-July 22 – Chatting with a relative or neighbor can bring shared interests to light; ask for a recipe or nutritional advice. Your solar fifth house of children, speculation, gambles and fun is activated with Mercury’s entrance into Scorpio, where it joins the Sun and Mars. Day trips or classes are a possibility, so is a flurry of messages as you make plans for the holiday season.

July 23-Aug. 22 – Home and family get busier than ever this month, and probably you play host to more visitors. A daughter may be going thru a very challenging time so let her know you are there for her. Career matters should show the effects of asteroid Vesta transiting Taurus; career matters can provide more of what you both need and enjoy out of life. Single Leos may meet a very intriguing person who may become a Significant Other.

Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Ceres moves into your sign and sextiles Mercury in Scorpio and squares Juno in Sag. Your long-time interest in health foods and parenting can find an outlet in local groups or classes; maybe you will even teach. Venus squares Saturn in Virgo Monday morn, suggesting conflict with a female family member. Try to appreciate the positive traits of that person and overlook the negative. Maybe you feel that she does not love you the way you think she should, and feel very lonely as a result. You never could keep family members in a cage; we have to let them be free enough to find their own path and destiny. That doesn’t mean they don’t love you, of course.

Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – The level of communications winds down to normal now with Mercury leaving your sign for Scorpio. Perhaps a publishing or legal matter also is resolved. Your ruler Venus makes a square to Saturn and then Uranus Monday morn, which can make you quite uncomfortable! A female relative or neighbor may not think much of other friends or your venture into alternative health or the like, but think of it as an opportunity to help them learn more about other people and other views.

Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon sextiles your Sun and Mars in Scorpio Monday, making it easier for you to progress in personal and health matters; ready to start those crunches? Mercury enters your sign at 11 am Eastern on Tuesday, so research and investigative matters are engrossing now. Also I bet you kick back with a good mystery or two. You find it harder to get cooperation Wednesday, but try again Fri-Sat-Sun. An email or call early Friday pm can strike the right chords to get things going again. Try a lunch date Sat. or a sports date Sun. morn to make your case or just schmooze.

Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – Juno in your sign squares Ceres in Virgo this week. Watch for clashes with advocates for children’s or environmental issues. Your authority could find its limits. The Moon sextiles Venus in your sign on Thursday afternoon, suggesting getting away early for a get-together with women friends at a local grill or attraction can be a great time. Cancel similar plans for Sunday morn, tho; that date could fall thru anyway.

Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon is in Capricorn from early Sunday till early evening Tuesday. You and a Scorpio friend chat over (business?) brunch early Monday; an OK comes thru that afternoon and you receive the good news in a call or email that evening. Guard your money later that night and make sure you know where your wallet is.

Jan. 20-Feb. 17 The Moon is in Aquarius from early evening Tuesday till early Friday. Don’t let a minor misunderstanding Tues. evening blow up into a big deal especially at work. Don’t even tease an assistant or make jokes. Think: oil on troubled waters. A Thursday afternoon lunch with a woman friend will be a welcome break and sooth your spirit. Best to go directly home and avoid rush-hour traffic and any jams.

Feb. 18-March 19 – The Moon is in Pisces from early Friday till midday Sunday. The Moon trines Mercury in Scorpio in your solar ninth house Sat. morn — favoring news RE law, college, publishing or religion. Also on tap that day is a sextile to Jupiter (midday/early pm), favoring good times with friends or clubs, and a conjunction with Uranus later that afternoon. Uranus can be upsetting but try not to take anything personally. An opposition to Saturn can be frustrating, so if the movie rental place is out of your fave genres, try alternatives or just stay home & watch free downloads.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
