Your Milky Way Horoscope Feb. 15-21, 2009

By Milky Way Maid

The Sun enters Pisces on Wednesday . Mark the day with fish on the menu, hmm? BTW the same night has what Jim Shawvan considers an opportunity period for night owls – but I am not sure this qualifies. The day has a series of aspects to malefics: Moon square Saturn, then square Uranus, then sextile Neptune. Sure, the Moon is translating light from the ruler of one sign to another (Uranus to Neptune), but they are both classed as malefics and the preceding aspect is a square to Saturn. Doesn’t look so good to me. And he admits that the fourth quarter moon is a bad time to start anything. (I do admire/respect Jim, so don’t get me wrong. I am just having a difference of opinion on this one point.)

I do think that Tuesday’s Mars conjunct Jupiter (and North Node) on Tuesday offers a huge opportunity to those who can stomach the risk. You may look down and the slope resembles a ski jump; maybe you shouldn’t look down. But those who know what they’re doing can sprout wings. Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop.

ARIES – March 20-April 19 – Venus in your sign sextiles Jupiter in your solar eleventh house of friends and groups, on Monday evening. Do NOT skip club meetings or other events, as you may receive some award, grant, or maybe just a nice door prize. Your ruler Mars conjuncts Jupiter (plus North Node) on Tuesday; I expect you will feel extra confident, even rash, but it will all work out in your favor.

TAURUS – April 20-May 20 – Take a calculated risk in regards to career during the Mars conjunct Jupiter period on Tuesday. Send out inquiries, appear in person, etc. where you think your skills may be of use. The North Node is also in that conjunction, signifying that one has a chance to grow toward one’s best self. Venus in your twelfth house this month tempts you with too much sugary things like candy and pastry. Treat yourself instead with a spa service or playing some lovely, romantic music.

GEMINI – May 21-June 20 – Is there anything related to your solar ninth house that you have thought you had no chance for? Higher education, a long trip, publishing a book, a court case or a position at a law firm, etc? Make another call, submit another application, or grant proposal, and see if something doesn’t open up. Venus in your solar eleventh house sextiles the ninth house conjunction; perhaps a friend or club you belong to can help you navigate the application process. Best wishes to you.

CANCER – June 21-July 22 – The big conjunction (Mars, Jupiter, North Node) is in your solar eighth house. This relates to estates, wills, the partner’s assets, insurance, and generational issues like pregnancy and heritage (genetic or wealth). Cancer is a good exec and manager and so it is possible you might gain an executive position with a family business, get pregnant, have an addition to the family, win a loan or insurance settlement, expand/remodel a business, etc. Best wishes to you. Venus in your solar tenth house sextiles the conjunction, and that gives more weight to the loan or remodel possibilities. If you run a Venus-oriented business like a bakery or candy-making company, that just makes it perfect.

LEO – July 23-Aug. 22 – The big conjunction (Mars, Jupiter, North Node) is in your solar seventh house, and just offhand the biggest gamble in relationships is proposing. What if she says no? What if she says yes? But if you keep your eye on goals then the rest falls into place. You are more of a family man than you like to admit; you adore children and love taking a carful of kids going off to the beach or some other outing. And if you are already in a relationship, maybe with some problems, then bringing those problems out into the open is a risk, too. Consider family counseling at a local church (where they often offer low-cost programs), or a marriage enrichment weekend.

VIRGO – Aug. 23-Sept. 22 – Health-oriented Virgo will probably like this big conjunction (Mars, Jupiter, North Node) because it is in your solar sixth house of health (also mundane jobs). Getting a second job with a health-food store or at a spa would suit you quite well. I sure hope this aspect is not related to surgery or some serious health problem; that just isn’t Virgo’s style at all. But if there is some conventional medicine under consideration, then perhaps the Venus sextile denotes getting an approval or reimbursement from the insurance company.

LIBRA – Sept. 23-Oct. 22 – Hope you have a gallery showing (or audition) scheduled for this week, because you would benefit from the Mars-Jupiter conjunction in your solar fifth house of arts, creativity, children, gambling, pleasures. If you do not have anything like that scheduled, look around for some local auditions or the like, OR get out and paint from life, en plein air. You never know who you will meet while you are working with your brushes or camera. Possibly your spouse or partner can help find a likely location.

SCORPIO – Oct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon is still in Scorpio as the week begins, and remains there till early evening on Monday. Sunday morn opens with the Moon square Jupiter; resist the temptation to pig out at brunch or overdo on anything today. The Moon sextiles Saturn and trines Uranus in the evening; sounds like you will be on the computer catching up on work. Monday the Moon squares Sun-Neptune; your impression of yourself is not inclined to be realistic, so maybe you could use your spouse as a sounding board.

SAGITTARIUS – Nov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon is in Sag from early evening on Monday till Thursday morning. Mars conjuncts Jupiter and both sextile the Moon in Sag; your hunch or ‘gamble’ could pay off. Wednesday is more challenging with squares from the Moon to the Saturn-Uranus opposition, making a T-square. Possibly computers and other mechanical objects are balky, but try to find other opportunities to network and get work done. The Moon sextiles Neptune in the evening so pick out some good titles for movie night.

CAPRICORN – Dec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon is in Capricorn from Thursday morning till Saturday evening. The Moon is conjunct Pluto and sextile the Sun; even casual conversation is fraught with emotion deeply felt. The Moon squares Venus Friday morning (you are not feeling too cuddly, and maybe are worried about money but then again you always worry about money) and trines Saturn about midnight Eastern time; you can get a lot of work done, and even pull an all-nighter as if you were cramming in college.

AQUARIUS – Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Venus sextiles Jupiter in your sign on Monday night; sounds like you may shop for your Valentine – did you promise to let her pick out something? Mars is conjunct Jupiter in your sign Tuesday, with the North Node and Mercury very close at hand; wow, this is a terrific opportunity if you can identify it and move in on a deal. The Sun leaves your sign Wednesday morning but don’t worry, we still love you. You may find that you are less the center of action now and take more of a supporting role. Wednesday night might be a good time to see a movie with a friend, or swim with a swim class or club.

PISCES – Feb. 18-March 19 – Most of the other signs can benefit from the big conjunction (Mars, Jupiter, North Node) but because it is in your solar twelfth house, I think you are much better off staying far away from the casinos and bingo halls. Stay home, stick to the knitting, make a big pot of soup or chili and have a friend or two over. Have him/her/them bring the desserts. The good news is that the Sun enters your sign, so happy birthday! A powerful friend or membership in a large club can be beneficial to you on Thursday.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
