Your Milky Way Horoscope June 28-July 4, 2009
Uranus makes a retrograde station on Wednesday morn at 3:37 am Eastern Time, at 26 degrees Pisces. Note any contacts to natal or progressed planets or angles. It is on my Part of Fortune and an asteroid, so I will let you know if anything transpires. Electronic devices may be balky so back up your computer files and be cautious about opening email attachments. Stations are not necessarily bad, they can make the planet very powerful if aspecting other transits or natal planets. Also, you could possibly have psychic moments when you know what someone will say or do, or get that strange sense of deja vu.
Venus squares Jupiter and Neptune on Wednesday night and then jumps into Gemini early Sunday. That Venus is a busy gal. I would not sign any papers or even bother listening to any sales spiels on Wednesday. On the other hand, it may be good for soliciting donations for a charity or social cause.
The Moon opposes Mars on Thursday night; this is a lousy time to start any project so don’t. It will be hard to muster the energy or support for your idea.
Mercury opposes Pluto 11:29 am Eastern on Sat., in the first degree of Cancer/Capricorn. Check out the national and international news that morning for significant events and announcements. Pluto rules government control, evolution, the masses, investigations, pooled resources like insurance or mutual funds, intergenerational issues and much more. Mercury is of course travel and communications.
Your Milky Way Horoscope June 21-27, 2009
The Sun enters the sign Cancer on Sunday at 1:46 am Eastern Time, marking when day and night are of equal lengths. We call this the Summer Solstice, when Sol (the Sun) stands still in the sky. This year it is marked by a Venus-Mars conjunction in equally fertile Taurus at 9:09 am Eastern, which in turn trines Saturn early Monday . It is possible that this solstice will inspire people to contract a marriage with their significant other. Saturn is good for marriage; it sets a boundary around the loving couple, Venus and Mars, and warns others to respect the boundary. Politically, it will be discouraging for advocates for same-sex marriage as those who define (Saturn) marriage as between a man and woman (Venus and Mars) will force their definition on others.
The Solstice on Sunday is followed in short order by a New Moon at 1 degree 30 minutes Cancer, at 3:35 pm Eastern. The Sun and Moon oppose Pluto, but this is eased a bit by all the sextiles from Moon to Saturn, Venus, and Mars. Pluto is evolution among other things; evolution as an individual, as a species, as a family, and on physical, emotional and spiritual levels. Pluto in Capricorn is Big Business; the Moon (public) opposing it will mean greater public demands for restriction or even dismantling of Big Businesses. This will likely relate to the restrictions being placed on executive pay for companies that accept government bailout funds, but I think public sentiment could spread to larger issues of why are we accepting such a concentration of wealth and power among such a small fraction of Americans?

Jupiter stations retrograde on Monday, June 15 at 3:50 am Eastern, at 27 degrees Aquarius. Those with natal planets in late fixed signs are likely to be most affected. Stationary planets are quite strong and Jupiter is hugely influential anyhow, so I would expect the events of the day to be magnified in every way. The sign of Aquarius may indicate advances in technological matters, such as artificial intelligence. Jupiter rules law, higher education, religion, publishing and national politics; its conjunction with Neptune may be a factor in the recent low ebb in the fortunes of major newspapers.
Venus and Mars move toward their rendezvous on Sunday (Father’s Day). It is in the fertile sign of Taurus; Venus will want comfortable surroundings, so Dad better take Mom to a nice restaurant. Readers may use this positive blend of male and female energies by making a ceremony of planting seeds in the veggie patch. Other options are of course balancing energies in the home with the addition of a pet of the appropriate gender.

Your Milky Way Horoscope June 7-13, 2009
The Full Moon is on Sun., June 7 at 2:12 pm Eastern Time at 17 degrees 7 minutes Sagittarius. The last prior Moon aspect is a square to Saturn in Virgo, and the first aspect after full is an inconjunct to Mercury in Taurus, and a square to Uranus in Pisces. This is a hard Full Moon T-square, altho its impact is lightened by the fact that it is in mutable signs and most people will be able to make an adjustment to the energies of the period, and also because ‘mutable’ means its effect is more transitory. Healthcare issues (Virgo) and hospitals (Pisces) are likely to be in the forefront.
Mercury squares Jupiter on Wed. at 26-27 degrees of Taurus-Aquarius. It is possible you may ‘lose your head’ and go on a spending spree so lock up the plastic. Pent up consumer demand can bust loose after many months of caution, but make sure that what you buy is a good product and a good deal.
Mercury enters its home turf, Gemini, late Saturday. Rah! Communications quicken and sharpen, and replies fly back and forth. Good for taking a class or catching a lecture, as well as short trips.
