Your Milky Way Horoscope July 12-18, 2009

July 8, 2009 at 12:50 pm

By Milky Way Maid

The Sun in Cancer is conjunct Mercury at 10:16 am Monday morning, July 13. Cancer’s ruler, the moon, squares this conjunction by sign, so it is not favorable for communications. Oh, you may give a great speech or presentation, but the audience is not buying you. The conjunction later receives a square from the Moon in Aries on Wed. morning; people are in too much of a hurry to listen so make an appt. for Friday night or midday next Wed.

Mercury sextiles Uranus in Pisces early Thursday; this sounds like wordplay, jokes, riddles, etc. will strike your funny bone. Listen to the radio on your morning commute and see if something funny transpires. This is also a fine time to buy mechanical or electronic items, everything from a car to a clock.

The Sun is trine Uranus on Saturday evening; break out of your routine, try an open mike night, look at the funny side.

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. Also note: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect.

ARIESMarch 20-April 19 – The Moon is in Aries mid-morning Mon. till Wed. afternoon. The Moon in Aries squares Pluto early Mon.; your efforts to get to the bottom of something are like pulling teeth. Easy sextiles on Tues. are much more favorable for everything; sextile to Venus in Gemini means: season your interactions with some honey. Ex: tell them what they’re doing right before pointing out how they can do better. Squares to Sun-Mercury in Cancer early Wed. puts obstacles in your way but the rest of the morn is much smoother due to sextiles to Jupiter-Neptune; appeal to people’s desire for a better world.

TAURUSApril 20-May 20 – The Moon is in Taurus Wednesday afternoon till Friday evening. First aspect Wed. night is a trine to Pluto; good for research, detective work, or reading mystery novel. The Moon trines Saturn, on Thursday, lending you discipline, so cross off lots of chores from your ‘to-do’ list. Friday has a mixed bag. A sextile from the Moon to Cancer Sun makes relationships flow easier, so trade favors with friends. A square to the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction makes you vaguely dissatisfied with school or career; you might decide to wallow in a personal film festival tonight.

GEMINIMay 21-June 20 – The Moon is in Gemini Friday evening till next Sunday. You are itching to be on the move and talk with friends Friday night, with a Moon-Mercury sextile and a Pluto aspect. More serious Twins might get into deep discussions but be careful who you confide in! The Moon is conjunct Mars in Gemini on Saturday morn, making you irritable. Moon joins Venus that evening; you are ready to socialize that night, or even get romantic with your S.O. On Sunday, Saturn makes you work hard on chores in the a.m. But Jupiter and Uranus put you in the mood for film or comedy that evening.

CANCERJune 21-July 22 – The Sun in Cancer is conjunct Mercury at 10:16 am Monday morning, July 13. See also other notes about aspects to the Sun above.

LEOJuly 23-Aug. 22 – Mercury enters the sunny sign of Leo on Friday at 7:08 pm Eastern time. The downside of this placement is that Leos can become arrogant and hog the spotlight. The upside is that Leos can use their talent for theatrics to enhance communication. For example, teachers find that a funny story to illustrate a concept will ensure that students remember it at exam time. Centering yourself in the heart will energize your communications for greater effect.

VIRGOAug. 23-Sept. 22 – Ceres in Virgo till early August favors growing a garden, altho you might make a point of mulching and protecting before Ceres moves into dry Libra. You may have to water heavily in August to keep things alive. The Sun and Mercury are in your solar eleventh house of friends and groups; you may feel like hosting some pool parties or club meetings. Venus and Mars enter your solar tenth house, helping to boost sales (altho you always have to work at that kind of thing).

LIBRASept. 23-Oct. 22 – The Sun and Mercury are in your solar tenth house of career, putting you in the spotlight. You may be giving more speeches or interviews than usual. Venus and Mars move into your solar ninth house; perhaps you get some help with paying tuition but incur loan obligations. Juno opposite in Aries asks for equality and mutual respect in relationships; allow each other time to speak his or her piece. Juno squares Pluto retrograding in Capricorn; face your deepest fears about disrupting your home and family with dissension or divorce. You can break family patterns with raised consciousness.

SCORPIOOct. 23-Nov. 21 – Pluto retrogrades in Capricorn, your solar third house of speech and writing. You may have to revise and analyze the impression you give others when speaking etc. You may have to toss out a writing project and start from scratch. Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron all retrograde in your solar fourth house; perhaps promises regarding housing evaporate, or utility workers need to shut off water at times to work on pipes. Mars and Venus enter your solar eighth house of wills and insurance. Check with your estate lawyer that all papers are in order and that you have received all that that is due you. Likewise with insurances; follow up on processing of your claims.

SAGITTARIUSNov. 22-Dec. 21 – Your fave person to have fun with this month is your spouse or other S.O. (I know, wild, isn’t it?) Amusement parks and sporting events beckon you both. Saturn and Ceres are high in your solar tenth house of career; you’re saddled with responsibility and may feel like kicking over the traces but that’s what weekends are for, right? True, Mars in your solar seventh house may indicate your spouse gets irritable, but Venus represents how much fun it is making up.

CAPRICORNDec. 22-Jan. 19 – Pluto is in for a long transit thru your sign, Cappy, and you are not likely to be quite the same after it has passed thru. Pluto can grind you down, make you face both your deepest fears and desires, but in the end you will be empowered to be your true self. Mars and Venus have entered your solar sixth house of health; Mars recharges your batteries but watch out for too many sweets (Venus). Also argument (Mars) can deeply affect your body chemistry, so sugar your words (Venus in Gemini). The Sun and Mercury in your solar seventh house have put you in the public eye, but with Uranus retrograding in your solar third house of communications till December, you may be frustrated trying to get your message across.

AQUARIUSJan. 20-Feb. 17 – Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron retrograde in your own sign. Be very cautious about committing your energies and resources this summer, as you could easily overextend and exhaust yourself. It is also possible that you become enthused about some form of religion or spiritual teaching; sample all you want, but make no commitments at this time. Your optimism may waver a bit while these planets are retrograde, but you are nevertheless kept buoyant by their presence.

PISCESFeb. 18-March 19 – The Moon is in Pisces Sunday till mid-morning Monday. Sunday is a lazy day, the way you’d like every day to be. A trine to Sun and Mercury in Cancer may see you parked by the pool, taking care of messages by cellphone or via your laptop. The Sun and Mercury’s sojourn in your solar fifth house this month makes this a good time for vacations and other recreation and self-expression. Take the kids to all the stops (zoo, museum, games) and enjoy being a kid yourself.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
