Your Milky Way Horoscope March 14-20, 2010

By Milky Way Maid

Mercury and the Sun enter Aries this week — Mercury at midday Wednesday, and the Sun on the Spring Equinox at 1:32 pm Saturday. PLUS the Moon will be in Aries Tues.-mid-Thurs. So that means a whole lotta cardinal energy this week. People will be revving their engines, eager to get started on lots of projects and new chapters in their lives. But they will soon run head-on into Saturn in Libra, which says to them, unh-uh, no you don’t. So Arians and other cardinal types (Cancer, Capricorn, Libra) in your life will be particularly frustrated this week and next. Especially if natal planets are in early degrees of the signs. Try to be kind. Saturn opposing does help with keeping new diet or exercise resolutions, so don’t hesitate to try again this month.

On Sunday, the Sun is conjunct Mercury at 23 degrees, and the Moon conjunct Jupiter at 13 degrees, all in Pisces. Sun-Mercury is good for concentrating on details and for getting your views across, altho I ought to mention that your thoughts may go so fast that others may have trouble keeping up with you. You might make notes in a recorder or PDA so you don’t lose valuable insights. Moon-Jupiter is sunny and generous. You may be drawn to spiritual or metaphysical subjects now, and women may be lucky for you.

The New Moon at 25 degrees 10 minutes Pisces at 5:01 pm Monday energizes a stellium in Pisces of the Sun, Mercury, and Uranus. This is very mental, and electronics will figure in your day. Do not be surprised if psychic communications or unusual dreams burst upon your consciousness. Also keep an eye on the news (Mercury) of the day, since important announcements and events are likely to occur this week or month.

The Sun is conjunct Uranus at 26 degrees Pisces at 2:50 am Wednesday. This follows up on the energies of the New Moon on Monday. You feel the need to break out of a rut, explore new places, visit strange places or people. You may feel rebellious, or begin to truly liberate your thinking. Resisting these energies can make you accident-prone. Just suspend judgment for the time being and listen to others stories.

Early note for next week: The Sun opposes Saturn at 8:37 pm Sunday, March 21 at 1 degree Aries/Libra. Plus Sun trine Mars (exercise), this is excellent for starting a serious diet or exercise program so please dust off your treadmills and so forth. I started one physically demanding job on a Sun-Saturn conjunction and tho it was hard work, it paid off with quick results at the scale.

Boo-hoo, did not get all the Oscar winners right this year. But that’s OK, this was really the first time I tried to pick ’em in so many categories. The ones I got right: Kathryn Bigelow for best director, Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock, Mark Boal for screenplay, and Pete Docter for animated feature.

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. Also note: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIES – March 20-April 19 — The Moon is in Aries from 2:32 am Tuesday till midday Thursday. The Moon trines Mars in Leo early Tuesday. If your exercise habits are lacking, this is a good time to get back into the swing of things. The Moon opposes Saturn about dawn; pushing yourself to your limits, or setting a goal (losing weight, running x number of laps) will challenge you and keep your interest. You want to remake yourself, not just to turn back the clock but to be the best (fill in number)-year-old that you can be.

TAURUS – April 20-May 20 – – The Moon is in Taurus from 12:29 pm Thursday till Saturday night. The Moon-Mars square in Leo spurs you to dig in your heels; be careful not to over-react here. A trine to Pluto that night helps you take back control of some part of your life. Friday is a very good day with a Moon-Jupiter sextile. You find support, assistance and good advice all around. On Saturday the Moon is sextile Uranus and square Neptune. You may be able to feel your way to the right answers this afternoon, but these are difficult energies to harness and rely upon. Also seeing a comedy film appeals.

GEMINI – May 21-June 20 — Monday’s New Moon in Pisces is in your solar tenth house of career. A new generation of electronic communications dawns, and that’s right up your alley. Get on top of it and become the go-to person for writing new apps for it. Planets that enter Aries, in your solar eleventh house of friends, frustrate those in your inner circle. You may need to distract them with small talk, jokes and games. The Moon enters Gemini at 8:28 pm Saturday and stays through the weekend. The Moon-Sun sextile Saturday night promotes a calm yet active evening with friends. You may get competitive tho, late at night and challenge each other to a contest.

CANCER – June 21-July 22 — Cancer benefits from the New Moon in a compatible water sign. It is in your ninth house of law, publishing, college and religion/metaphysics. Uranus and Mercury there help you access other modes of communicating with others, on the level of ESP. Alternatively you may begin a study of electronics, engineering or other technical subjects, which are also ruled by Uranus. You may venture into writing e-books rather than traditional publishing projects. The equinox in your solar tenth house Aries energizes and yet frustrates at the same time. Pressures will ease a bit once the Sun enters Taurus and wears a more compatible persona.

LEO – July 23-Aug. 22 — Leos generally feel very good around the spring equinox, since Aries is very compatible with their own fire energies. Leos will probably fare better than Arians, because Saturn in Libra is sextile, a far easier aspect to work with. A bit of self-discipline and work will carry you far. Perhaps you locate a good teacher or mentor to help you master some key skills. The New Moon in Pisces on Monday is bit of a challenge, since your ruler the Sun is involved in that Pisces stellium and in an awkward aspect. You may be challenged to find effective ways of presenting yourself personally or verbally. You may have to break down and try to master electronic or internet-based services or marketing. But help is out there to explain how to do all that, and you are smart enough to master anything.

VIRGO – Aug. 23-Sept. 22 — The New Moon in Pisces on Monday puts the accent on marriage and relationships. The midweek Sun-Uranus conjunction would be a good time to try something new with your life partner. If your relationship is unrewarding, then counseling or an enrichment weekend might be just the thing to rejuvenate it. I also recommend the book, The Five Love Languages for an effective do-it-yourself fixit. Uranus in your solar seventh house also opens up the possibility of appearing in media such as TV and radio, or on the web.

LIBRA – Sept. 23-Oct. 22 — Lessons of karma and earned rewards are highlighted by planets entering opposing sign Aries. The sun and Mercury oppose transiting Saturn in your sign, perhaps frustrating you but helping you keep to a program you have set for yourself. The New Moon is in Pisces, a difficult placement for you. You will probably have to adjust and ‘roll with the punches’. You might be challenged by psychic occurrences that do not fit with your current worldview, but you will just have to deal with it. Really, it is possible to hold two opposing viewpoints at the same time; millions have done it. It might be fun!

SCORPIO – Oct. 23-Nov. 21 — The New Moon in Pisces energizes your solar fifth house of fun and creativity. Get out the craft supplies, take a painting class, go to a funhouse or casino, heck, maybe even break down and buy a Wii. The midweek Sun-Uranus conjunction would be a good time to try something new in terms of fun. You may find a startling talent you never knew you had. The Aries ingress energizes your co-ruler Mars’ physical energies, and you might feel the urge to renew acquaintance with exercise equipment. Scorpio likes personal challenges, and feels pleasure at reshaping his body.

SAGITTARIUS – Nov. 22-Dec. 21 — Sag always loves the Vernal Equinox, with its compatible fire energy and new growth. Hiking local nature trails looking for signs of spring and breathing fresh air will do wonders for Centaurs tired of being cooped up all winter. The New Moon in Pisces is in your solar fourth house and squares your natal planets. Mercury and Uranus together there can be tricky to handle, but you might consider installing energy-saving thermostats or other electronic controls. Appliances may need repair but this is a good opportunity to look for more efficient devices. You need a new toy, anyway.

CAPRICORN – Dec. 22-Jan. 19 — The Pisces New Moon is in your solar third house of communications and trips. I think you might consider planning at least a short getaway vacation, perhaps to go fishing — a sport you truly enjoy. I know it is always hard to tear yourself away from work and other duties, but Jack becomes a dull boy with no play. Perhaps midweek you visit a new attraction or restaurant in your neighborhood. The Aries ingress in your solar fourth house makes you pay attention to younger family members (Mercury). You take a hand in helping them research career paths so they understand where they can go in life.

AQUARIUS – Jan. 20-Feb. 17 – Lucky you, the Pisces New Moon is in your solar second house of money. Uranus there is not too consistent, so you may have to adjust to an irregular income stream. Uranus also can bring windfalls, tho Venus or Jove usually have to make aspects for that to happen. A Moon-Venus conjunction Wednesday in your solar third house may bring an introduction to a female by another female. It could be a neighbor or someone you go to school with. The Moon-Jupiter sextile Friday in your solar second house could bring a gift or bonus.

PISCES – Feb. 18-March 19 — The Moon is in Pisces from Sunday till early Tuesday. The Sun-Mercury conjunction at 9:16 am favors writing and other communications. Your mind may go so fast that you need to record your ideas before you lose them. The Moon-Jupiter conjunction at 5:17 pm helps you beam loving support to all you love. Philosophical ideas catch your attention. The New Moon Monday energizes a stellium in Pisces of the Sun, Mercury, and Uranus. This is very mental, and electronic or even psychic communications can burst upon your consciousness.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
