Your Milky Way Horoscope April 18-24, 2010

April 12, 2010 at 10:52 pm

  By Milky Way Maid

Mercury goes retrograde at 12:06 am Sunday, April 18. Now stop that whining and crying. You will finally have a chance to catch up on some reading and messaging. AND if you take a trip under Mercury retrograde, you can be sure that you will always come home at the end of it.

The Sun enters calm and creative Taurus on April 20 at 12:30 am. Time to think about spring, planting a garden and being grateful for living on this planet. Mercury in Taurus (which is at about 12 degrees, and went retrograde on April 18) sextiles Moon in Cancer the same morning; you find it easier to talk about your feelings. Remember, too, that you might make someone’s day by being sympathetic. The Moon trines Jupiter at 21 degrees Pisces that night. It’s a good day to reach out to others with a helping hand.

Venus in Taurus squares Neptune at 28 degrees Aquarius on Friday at 3:54 pm. This is such a dreamy and impractical aspect that it is difficult to use it in a positive manner. You may be in love with love, or delude yourself into believing the most preposterous flim-flam story. Relationships begun now often end unhappily over lies and deception, often of one’s own making. However, those who are involved in the arts can reach levels of beauty and truth they never imagined before.

Venus sextiles Uranus the same night at 10:06 pm, at 28 degrees Pisces. This is another falling-in-love aspect, so be sure you are with someone that you want to get mixed up with! Venus then trines Saturn (28 degrees Virgo) at 3:44 am Saturday. Differences between you and your significant other can be calmly thrashed out if there is a sense of mutual respect.

Venus enters Gemini on Sunday, April 25 at 1:05 am. Twins will find they look even more youthful and vibrant even if they do not go to a salon. But go anyway, just to freshen and update your look. Geminis always like to look up-to-date!

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. Also note: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIESMarch 20-April 19 – Sun in Aries sextiles Neptune in Aquarius about 4 am Sunday. Active Arians might take to water sports, or take a group on a boat excursion. The Sun inconjunct Saturn on Monday morning could bring nitpicking over a lack of perfection in yours or others’ work. Try to accept the process of achieving a goal as one of shaping it ever closer to the one in someone’s mind’s eye.

TAURUSApril 20-May 20 – See all the notes above about what your ruler Venus is up to this week. Boy, that girl gets around. Venus in solid Taurus clashes with Neptune in airy Aquarius on Friday afternoon; it’s OK to build your romantic castle in the air, but put a solid foundation underneath of communication, shared values, and mutual respect. Also the Sun enters Taurus at 12:30 am Tuesday. Happy birthday to all the Venus-ruled people of this sign. On Tuesday evening, Mercury you might say translates light from Moon in Cancer to Jupiter in Pisces. You might schedule a presentation that evening, perhaps at a club meeting.

GEMINIMay 21-June 20 – The Moon is in Gemini at week’s start, till Monday morn. The Moon squares Jupiter about 4 pm Sunday; it is far too easy to overdo anything, so take a reliable buddy along if shopping or dining to keep you on your budget and diet. You may feel frustrated during the morning commute on Monday; allow plenty of time to get to work. But you call in if caught in a traffic jam, and everything works out fine.

CANCERJune 21-July 22 – The Moon is in Cancer from 7:39 am Monday till midday Wednesday. The Moon opposes Pluto early evening on Monday; leading to frustration over control or the lack of it over your own life. Change what you can and make peace with the rest. The Moon sextiles Mercury in Taurus then trines Jupiter in Pisces in your solar ninth house. A grant or scholarship may come through for you so you can finish your degree.

LEOJuly 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon is in Leo from 11:42 am Wednesday till Friday afternoon. On Wednesday, conflict brews in a Moon-Sun square; try not to be so stubborn, everyone! Inconjuncts from the Moon to Ceres and Pluto that night suggest that creativity on your part can increase your self-reliance. You may decide to go back to the land. Emotional intensity can get out of hand when the Moon is conjunct Mars early Thursday morn; you might work off some steam in exercise or artistic expression.

VIRGOAug. 23-Sept. 22 – The Moon is in Virgo from 2:24 pm Friday till Sunday April 25. A Grand Trine forms Friday as the Moon in Virgo in turn trines Sun in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn; you can produce something of real interest and value to the public. A Taurus may be your national spokesperson, and a Capricorn your creative genius. Moon-Saturn in your sign provides discipline and structure for the beautiful Taurus who fronts your product.

LIBRASept. 23-Oct. 22 – Venus enters Gemini, trining your Sun from the solar ninth house of law, publishing, and higher education. Perhaps a grant or scholarship comes through for you. Best day is probably Sunday afternoon when Moon in compatible Gemini squares Jupiter at a creative angle to your own Sun. You may enjoy artistic performances or explore your own creative potential. Moon in Leo on Thursday also stimulates creative juices, especially if you are with friends or in a club.

SCORPIOOct. 23-Nov. 21 – Sun enters your opposite sign, Taurus, at 12:30 am Tuesday. Be generous as your partner gets a moment in the spotlight. Just be the dedicated power behind the throne who makes it possible for your partner to achieve something. Best days are probably when Moon is in compatible Cancer Monday-Wed. The focus is on college, publishing or law matters; a trine to Uranus on Wednesday may bring an unexpected resolution in your favor. You may also enjoy a laugh-out-loud comedy or a foreign film.

SAGITTARIUSNov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon in compatible Leo Wed.-Fri. are probably your best days. The Moon-Mars conjunction early Thursday adds intensity to arguments in legal or publishing matters. Make sure your emotion does not outstrip the solid research into defending your position. Friday is a bit difficult with Moon in Leo squared by Venus and then Neptune in your solar sixth house of health and work. Be careful not to overdo sweets especially (Venus), since Neptune is prominent in case of diabetes. Learn some moderation, willya!

CAPRICORNDec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Sun enters compatible Taurus early Tuesday, activating your solar fifth house of fun, romance, enjoyment, and all that good stuff. It is time you started to enjoy life a bit! Look for coupons, you scrimper, for interesting local events and historical observances. Grand earth trines form on Friday and Saturday, which are likely your best days. Just be sure to keep checking that your feet are on the solid ground.

AQUARIUSJan. 20-Feb. 17 – Aquarians get trines from the Moon in Gemini Sun-Mon. in your solar fifth house of children and creativity. Communications can flow more easily, and you relate more easily to the themes of films and novels. You might prefer to see classics on Monday, due to the aspect to Saturn. Sun enters Taurus and squares your natal planets from the solar fourth house of home and family. You take refuge in your home, and may preside over family gatherings and group meetings. The Moon-Mars conjunction in opposing Leo on Thursday does not favor public appearances unless you are on the debate team.

PISCESFeb. 18-March 19 – Best days may be when the Moon is in compatible Cancer Mon-Wed. Uranus in Pisces is trine the Moon on Wednesday morn. A issue involving your children or romances receives a sudden resolution. (Does this mean a surprise engagement announcement?) Venus in compatible Taurus on Friday and Saturday can bring lovely local excursions so talk a friend into going with you.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
