Your Milky Way Horoscope May 2-8, 2010

April 25, 2010 at 3:04 pm

  By Milky Way Maid

Mercury at 5 degrees Taurus (retrograde) trines Pluto in Capricorn on Monday morning favors going back to clarify some heavy-duty issues between you. It also favors any kind of detective work, or just reading a favorite mystery series novel. Those in scientific fields might announce new research discoveries.

The Sun at 14 degrees Taurus squares Mars in equally stubborn Leo at 9:09 am Tuesday. This is a classic irresistible force meets an immovable object. Something’s gotta give! It does make for a great deal of determination on the part of one person, or if two people combine their energies. Best to sublimate your physical aggressiveness in sports or challenge others to a friendly match, otherwise this aspect can result in accidents.

Happy Cinco de Mayo on Wednesday! A Moon-Venus trine is at 7:11 pm so there will probably be lots of sweets offered, plus other gifts and tokens. A Moon-Mars opposition in Leo about 10 pm says it may be well to go home early; people may be irritable and take offense easily.

Venus in Gemini sextiles Mars about 6 pm Friday. This is great for a romantic outlet for your high Leo energies. With Gemini involved, the expression may only involve conversing about a sexy subject, or in other words flirting.

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. Also note: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIESMarch 20-April 19 – Monday has a nice Mercury-Pluto trine from your solar second house (money) to the tenth of career; you may earn rewards for finding errors in bills or other records. Wednesday night’s Moon-Mars opposition favors working off some of your enormous energy in sports or other competition, but you may have to referee several disputes. Late afternoon Friday brings Venus in Gemini sextile Mars in Leo; unattached Rams may find an interesting romantic prospect at a local hangout.

TAURUSApril 20-May 20 – Late afternoon Sunday’s Moon-Mercury trine favors getting together with a mentor or professional-type friend to explain some things that puzzle you. By evening, many issues will be so much clearer, and your confusion dispelled. You might make a point of thanking him/her with a Monday brunch, or early phone call. Wednesday is a day to keep a low profile; the Moon-Mars opposition makes a T-square with your natal planets, and you could get drawn into arguments or even fights.

GEMINIMay 21-June 20 – College students may consider giving up dorm life to move back home, or vice versa on Thursday. Late afternoon Friday brings Venus in Gemini sextile Mars in Leo; you are a social animal anyway, but you will sparkle even more under this aspect so schedule a date night here. Hang out at a local party or theatre if looking to fill a vacancy in the ‘special friend’ department.

CANCERJune 21-July 22 – Sunday favors enlisting a friend of yours to have a chat with your spouse if your have trouble expressing your concerns. However, another friend may cost you money on Tuesday morning; don’t let someone else select the brunch date location. Tuesday afternoon, the Moon-Uranus sextile may help your spouse win a legal case, or earn a scholarship to go back to school.

LEOJuly 23-Aug. 22 – On Wednesday, there is a flammable Moon-Mars opposition affecting you personally, so avoid arguments and confrontations. You might work off some steam in athletics, but if there are too many fouls or disputes over plays, call the game off. Late afternoon Friday brings Venus in Gemini sextile Mars in Leo; perhaps a friend introduces you to an amazing vision of beauty. You will be in a mood to party and your glitter quotient will be higher than normal.

VIRGOAug. 23-Sept. 22 – Best days are when Moon is in compatible Capricorn Sun-Tues. Monday morning’s Sun-Moon trine with the other earth signs could be significant with your involvement in a joint effort. You may get saddled with more than your share of work on Tuesday afternoon, though, but with Saturn’s help you can breeze through chores. Friday afternoon and evening bring congenial aspects again. The Moon-Mercury sextile can bring good news about your spouse’s college work or law case.

LIBRASept. 23-Oct. 22 – For you, the Moon-Mars opposition on Wednesday night may just mean you enjoy a film or play with a lot of conflict. There are sure to be great performances. You may have to bail out a child on Thursday night/early Friday, but that just makes parenting interesting, doesn’t it? Alternatively, you may have to set down new rules for those who are near and dear, so that you can avoid further disruptions to both your lives.

SCORPIOOct. 23-Nov. 21 – Best days may be when the Moon is in compatible Pisces on Fri-next Sunday. You’ll enjoy seeing your spouse and children in happy chatter midday Friday. Dinner may have serious conversations or power struggles under the surface; stop pushing too much food on children, or otherwise making decisions that they should start making for themselves. Instead, let them pick their dessert, or help make a dinner. They will learn far more from that.

SAGITTARIUSNov. 22-Dec. 21 – The week begins with the Moon in Sag till 6 am Sunday. You only get a few hours of a fire moon Sunday, but that’s OK since you probably lived in triple time Fri-Sat. The Moon is part of a T-square with Saturn on one side and Uranus on the other, making you feel restricted in some way and ready to kick over the traces and run away. The feeling will pass; just count a few blessings, and make a small rebellion like wearing pj’s all day, etc.

CAPRICORNDec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon is in Capricorn from 6 am Sunday till Tuesday afternoon. Be safety conscious if trying home repairs. Accidents are liable to happen any time, but I don’t like the Chiron aspect on Sunday morning. Please, even if nothing happens, check out your safety kit and clear all aisles. It is well to toss out clutter if it presents a hazard. Monday is possibly your best day, especially for a congenial date with a Taurus. Conversation might center on serious topics (Mercury trine Pluto). On Tuesday you awake feeling super, but hard work follows in the afternoon (check off your to-do list). A mid-afternoon break to share a joke at the water cooler will do you good.

AQUARIUSJan. 20-Feb. 17 – The Moon is in Aquarius from 4:52 pm Tuesday till Friday morn. At 1:35 am Wednesday, a Moon-Mercury square makes for poor communications, especially with Mercury retrograde. However, a Moon-Venus trine at dinner hour favors a date with a lovely woman. Keep it short, tho, because irritability rules the late evening. On Thursday there are no exact aspects except a Sun-Moon square just past midnight. Friday starts off with a Moon-Neptune conjunction, which can make for interesting dreams but can make you fuzzy-headed during your commute.

PISCESFeb. 18-March 19 – The Moon is in Pisces from 5:34 am Friday till next Sunday evening. I would advise avoiding any decisions early Friday under a Moon-Chiron conjunction; emotions muddle your mind. Midday brings much better aspects. The Moon sextiles Mercury (good communications; clear up any confusion); a Moon-Pluto sextile gives you a sense of knowing what you need to do. Saturday afternoon’s Moon-Venus square might have you feeling sorry for yourself and envying gorgeous cousins, but a Sun-Moon sextile that evening favors having a Taurus friend over for a chat or dinner.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
