Wow, I cannot believe I missed posting the weekly horoscope for this week — but I will get this up ASAP for all of you. (and then next week’s forecast too) Have been amazingly busy and bushed since Mercury went retrograde, and thought it would level off when it went direct.

Venus in Gemini squares Jupiter in Pisces on Monday morn at 6:57 am. Be careful not to lose your head (metaphorically speaking)! The Sun is conjunct Algol in Taurus Monday, semisextile Venus in Gemini and sextile Jupiter in Pisces. Taureans may be most affected negatively, with the other fixed signs in danger of making bad decisions. It may be too easy to think, I don’t need money because I’m in love (or vice versa). Or you may think that nothing is too good for your beloved and blow your budget on an extravagant gift for him/her. Hey, the best gift is saying those three little words.

Venus in Gemini squares Saturn in Virgo at 4:18 am Tuesday; the quick succession of aspects from Venus to Jupiter and then Saturn symbolizes the emotional swings many of us experience from feelings of emotional buoyancy to emotional starvation. One day, you are convinced ‘he’ is crazy about you and is the real deal, and the next day he acts like he is not that into you at all! What’s up with that? Possibly ‘he’ is just getting cold feet at the prospect of losing his freedom, or just fearful that this relationship will turn out to be a dreaded replay of the prior disaster. He needs your reassurance not your petulance.

The Sun in Taurus sextiles Uranus, the comedian, in Pisces at 5:48 pm Thursday. This is an excellent night to go out to a comedy club or movie for some good laughs, or just hang out with your wittier friends. You might even try open mike night after practicing your best jokes on a supportive audience.

Here’s a heavy — Jupiter in Pisces opposes Saturn in Virgo late Saturday Pacific Time or at 1:36 am Sunday, May 23. The problem here is that Jupiter in Pisces never thinks that things are as bad as the experts (Saturn in Virgo) say, and so never plans ahead for the rainy day. This is a major turn in the economic cycle, also, so pay attention to the headlines in the Sunday paper. And keep an eye on the stock market Monday, as well.

The Sun enters Gemini Thursday at 11:34 pm. Happy birthday to all the Twins of the Zodiac!! The Sun’s last aspect was a sextile to funnyman Uranus so you will probably enter your new year laughing all the way.

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. Also note: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIESMarch 20-April 19 – Venus in Gemini (your solar third house) squares Saturn in Virgo (your solar sixth house of health and work) on Tuesday morning. Your health or job prospects may be affected by this, and I do hope that this is for the better. You may have to suggest a new or expanded job function in order to avoid a layoff. An intervention by a friendly (Venus) supervisor (Saturn) can help you elude the axe. Best days may be with Moon in compatible Leo from Tuesday to Thursday evening.

TAURUSApril 20-May 20 – The Sun in Taurus sextiles Jupiter Monday night — and this illustrates how the earth signs like Taurus can be perfectly happy with friends or in a group situation, trying to make their corner of the world a little nicer. The Sun in Taurus trines Saturn in Virgo Tuesday night; you might pick up some overtime or just enjoy physical work in the garden. A Sun-Neptune square and Mercury-Pluto trine on Wednesday afternoon favors shaking off the cobwebs and getting down to basics. Your words gain power if you are sure of your evidence. On Thursday night, a Sun-Uranus sextile helps you find your funny bone again.

GEMINIMay 21-June 20 – The week begins with the Moon in Gemini, but only until midday Sunday. The morning is/was probably frustrating, like being in a a giant toy store but not a dime in your pocket. Only you can make the best of it, turning it into a joke or just a chance to share in others’ happiness. Venus in Gemini squares Jupiter in Pisces on Monday morn. The mutable signs are adept at juggling the budget for sudden outlays. You may be quite tempted to buy something beautiful just for the sake of beauty — and that’s all right but then again, there is plenty of beauty for free at your local park.

CANCERJune 21-July 22 – The Moon is in Cancer from 1:46 pm till late afternoon Tuesday. The aspects Sunday are mostly harmonious, and your chances are good that you can resolve differences successfully. A Moon-Mercury sextile helps deal with Moon oppositions to Ceres and Pluto in Capricorn. Try to stick to practical considerations to arrive at a pragmatic resolution to your conflicts. The Sun-Jupiter sextile Monday indicates that friends and clubs you belong to can help you with solar ninth house matters: a study buddy helps you cram for exams, a club offers a scholarship, a fraternal contact introduces you to an ace lawyer, etc. Tuesday afternoon is excellent, with several sextiles and a trine to Jupiter. Work hard and flash your million-dollar smile.

LEOJuly 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon is in Leo from 5:06 pm Tuesday till Thursday evening. A Moon-Mercury square Wednesday morn leads to a stalemate in any workplace debate; stop being stubborn and just hand over the decision to a rational Virgo to determine the facts. You wake up Thursday rarin to go, due to a Moon-Mars conjunction in your sign. Burn up some your high energy in an early workout. A Moon-Neptune opposition Thursday night puts your glamorous self in the spotlight, so make sure you look sharp.

VIRGOAug. 23-Sept. 22 – The Moon is in Virgo from 7:58 pm Thursday till Saturday night. A Moon-Venus sextile Thursday night favors a confidential chat with a woman friend. She will be supportive and maternal. Friday morning is good for gaining control over some part of your life again, due to the trines to Pluto in Capricorn and Mercury in Taurus. Talk things over with those involved; sometimes just asking is all you had to do. The Moon opposes Jupiter Saturday night; you may be in a generous mood, or just want to be in the spotlight this once. You might serve as a judge of a contest or hand out the ribbons and medals.

LIBRASept. 23-Oct. 22 – Librans with planets at 5 degrees of their sign will feel the effect of the grand trine Friday morn involving Pluto at five degrees square (in Capricorn); this could present a wonderful opportunity to you. There is the chance of a legacy or insurance settlement related to family issues or to your home. The Moon enters Libra at 10:50 pm Saturday and stays till next Monday night. The Moon in Libra trines Sun in Gemini late Sat/early Sun. You may feel more comfortable than usual at the front of the room, arguing a legal case or presenting a term paper. Maybe you will be up late rehearsing your speech. Best wishes in either case, and I am sure you will convince the jury or professors.

SCORPIOOct. 23-Nov. 21 – Venus enters Cancer, your solar ninth house, on Wednesday at 9:05 pm. You may receive favors or good references from college profs, or encouragement from an editor. Legal settlements may be resolved in your favor although do not expect any multi-million-dollar awards. Ask profs for referrals or leads on jobs; they often have the inside scoop on lots of openings. Submit papers, articles and manuscripts anywhere you can think of. The Sun’s entry into Gemini opens a window into larger funds: the spouse’s income, pooled monies such as insurances, wills and estate matters, and taxes. Your attention may be turned to these issues for the next month.

SAGITTARIUSNov. 22-Dec. 21 – Venus in Gemini squares Jupiter and then Saturn, which tends to make your spouse feel like she is adored then ignored. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that once you have sent her flowers, etc. that you are done for the week! The Sun enters your opposite sign, Gemini, this week on Thursday. You and/or your spouse or partner may be literally or figuratively in the spotlight this month. So polish your smile and your patter, and get your face in front of people who can promote you.

CAPRICORNDec. 22-Jan. 19 – Mercury in Taurus trines Pluto in your sign on Wednesday afternoon. This favors research, forensic work, or auditing the books. A Moon-Pluto trine early Friday accents your determination to make your own life, on your own terms. Perhaps you believe that getting a diploma or certification will enhance your career prospects. Best days may be with Moon in Virgo, from Thursday evening thru Saturday.

AQUARIUSJan. 20-Feb. 17 – Make the best of Venus in compatible Gemini while you can, because she enters Cancer on Wednesday night. Take your best girl out for a date in a fun place, maybe an amusement park. The Moon in Libra is also harmonious from late Saturday night thru next Monday. BTW the Jupiter-Saturn opposition this weekend may spur involvement in the political realm, since they are in your solar third-ninth houses, which rule local and national politics.

PISCESFeb. 18-March 19 – Let frugality become your middle name, as Jupiter in your sign opposes Saturn yet again at week’s end. Put leftovers in the freezer for another meal (one you don’t have to cook from scratch), clip those coupons and get discount codes off the internet. You have coasted thru the past economic downturn on your own optimism, but now the crunch is really going to put pressure on you. Get serious about managing your personal economy.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
