Your Milky Way Horoscope May 23-29, 2010

A handcrafted weekly horoscope By Milky Way Maid

Jupiter in Pisces opposes Saturn at 27 degrees Virgo at 1:36 am Sunday, May 23. This is the last opposition because Jupiter rushes ahead into Aries June 6, and Saturn returns to Libra in July. The opposition is a significant marker in the longer cycle between Saturn and Jupiter, with impacts on the economic and sociological progression of the human race.

On the personal level, this opposition signifies a need to accept oneself as one is, and stop punishing oneself for not meeting a high standard. People with contacts to their own chart may decide to quit on a goal, out of boredom or whatever, but this is usually a mistake. If one is bored, just give yourself a varied routine so that you can go from one function or task to another before you burn out on it. Turn your burdens into challenges, and your stumbling blocks into stepping stones.

Venus in Cancer opposes Pluto at 4 degrees Capricorn at 11:15 Sunday, too. New relationships begun under this aspect can be marked by extreme jealousy, manipulation or even extramarital affairs. On the other hand, if the two parties are very compatible and secure with themselves, the passion may be deep and transcendent. Subconscious motives are likely, but not necessarily negative. The two people may satisfy deep needs within each other.

Uranus enters Aries at 9:44 pm Thursday, May 27. This will contribute to the cardinal T-square shaping up between explosive Uranus, transformational Pluto in Capricorn, and oppressive Saturn when it re-enters Libra later this summer. Volumes are being written online inre forecasting the impact of this T-square. I can only say that some of us are going to let it ALL hang out, and there may be shots heard ’round the world. Yet a great deal of good could come from this aspect, too, in amazing inventions and discoveries, especially in health care and social media. The sign Cancer receives the brunt of all this energy, and one must note that the U.S. was of course born under the sign of the crab.

Since Libra is the sign of marriage, and Saturn and Uranus square can signify divorce — I wonder if this T-square will presage a flood of divorce cases??? Uranus can also signify the radical broadening of marriage law to allow gays to marry. Can it be that the phenomenon of gay marriage could go national??

Looking ahead, Saturn will be stationary direct at 2:09 pm on Sunday, May 30. It went retrograde January 13, so matters that have been stalled during this period may finally move forward again.

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. Also note: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIESMarch 20-April 19 – This Sunday is likely to be particularly stressful; try to avoid dinner with in-laws or other difficult people. Uranus enters your sign on Thursday night; read notes above for insights. You may feel even more impatient than normal, so make a point of working off your frustrations with physical exercise. On Saturday morning you enjoy physical work in the veggie garden or perhaps digging a pool.

TAURUSApril 20-May 20 – Your ruler Venus is at it again. This time she has the hots for Capricorn, of all signs. I know you admire Cappy’s determination and so forth, so maybe there is such a one out there for you. So keep an eye peeled this week, just in case. In other news, the Moon-Mars square in other fixed signs on Wednesday is just a bear; avoid difficult people and just nod your head. On Friday if you bribe folks with your baking, you can get all kinds of favors from them. You lil ol’ Aunt Bea, you!

GEMINIMay 21-June 20 – Geminis are not thought of as domestic types, but you will enjoy cooking a creative dinner Sunday under a Ceres transit to your Sun. On Wednesday, you assert yourself and insist that your needs get met. But you do it with such charming, logical arguments that no one can resist you. You and your spouse/partner can get a lot of chores (Saturn) done on Saturday morning if you team up. Have your checklist ready!

CANCERJune 21-July 22 – Venus in Cancer opposes Pluto at 4 degrees Capricorn at 11:15 Sunday. OR — you might cook up a storm for a whole tribe of people!

LEOJuly 23-Aug. 22 – Mars is still plodding through Leo for this week and next, stoking the lion’s fire with more heat than light. But it’s all good, fire is fire after all. Best days this week are with the Moon in compatible and very gracious Libra, Sun-Mon. Monday afternoon’s Moon-Mars sextile favors getting projects off the ground, making introductions, or taking off for a tough game of squash. Moon in Sag on Friday is also compatible, and aspects to Venus and Mercury prime the creative pump.

VIRGOAug. 23-Sept. 22 – Best days have Moon in watery Scorpio, Tues-Thurs. morn. Tuesday morn’s Moon-Ceres sextile points out a tasty yet healthy breakfast option at the local coffee shop. A Moon-Venus trine that afternoon brings a contact with a dear friend; make an appointment for a teatime chat. Wednesday is a bear, tho; keep your nose to the grindstone and ignore any office politics.

LIBRASept. 23-Oct. 22 – The Moon is in Libra as the week begins till early Tuesday. Yay, the Moon trines the Gemini Sun early Sunday. Taking in the sunrise with a loved one appeals to the romantic in you. A square to Venus in Cancer at 5:40 am draws you back to taking care of family. Creative outlets beg for your attention at midday; focus on your creative writing or at least do some journaling. On Monday you wake up early under a Moon-Mars sextile, brimming with energy. Late that night Something provides you with creative or spiritual inspiration. Dreams will be interesting, too.

SCORPIOOct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon is in Scorpio from 2:17 am till Thursday morn. Tuesday begins with a Moon-Chiron trine, so do something healthy for yourself that morning. A wholesome breakfast is also indicated. A Gemini provides creative insight mid-morning. Tuesday afternoon a Moon-Venus trine says yes to exchanging favors or gifts. A Moon-Mars square on Wednesday night can bring a brick wall your way, so don’t bother trying to change anyone’s mind. Aspects are mixed on Thursday morn, but the last aspect before the Moon changes signs is a trine to Uranus, for happy surprises.

SAGITTARIUSNov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon is in Sag from 7:15 am Thursday till Saturday afternoon. Spouse and family agree Thursday that you really must take better care of yourself. Uranus enters Aries, your solar fifth house, bringing surprises and even windfalls to early Sag’s. Friday is a day for unleashing your creative energies. Saturday has you buckling down to chores in the a.m. but seeking wide horizons by midday.

CAPRICORNDec. 22-Jan. 19 – A work break with a friend refreshes you Tuesday morning. You may stay up late that night in a feverish outpouring of creative energy. The Moon enters Capricorn at 2:44 pm Saturday afternoon. Almost immediately it squares Uranus in Aries; surprises are in store, and action is the word for the day. It might be wise to conduct a safety inspection of your home, just because the cardinal T-square is so unpredictable.

AQUARIUSJan. 20-Feb. 17 – Uranus moving into your eleventh house of friends and clubs portends one or both of two possibilities: one, and estrangement (Uranus) with friends, or two, the addition of foreign (Uranus again) friends to your circle or to your list of groups you belong to. The week begins with Jupiter opposing Saturn in your money houses; the possibility of earning more money thru overtime or other hard work is very real. Saturn stations in Virgo, your solar eighth house of death, insurance, wills. There is a very real chance that related matters which have been tied up in court, etc will be resolved at month’s end. Congrats.

PISCESFeb. 18-March 19 – You will see the last of Uranus in your sign for the summer; it retrogrades back again in September. Estrangements ease, and this period gives you a chance to clarify just what you meant by such-and-such. Welcome loved ones back, but I wouldn’t lend them any money. And after about two weeks, Jupiter will also take your leave, also to retrograde back in September. So take advantage of whatever last bundles of luck he gives you, and stash away your hoard for a rainy day.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
