Your Milky Way Horoscope April 24-30, 2011

By Milky Way Maid

Venus in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn at 3:21 am Wednesday. Venus-Pluto squares are said to signify romantic or sexual obsessions; one can’t get someone out of one’s mind, for example. In some natal charts it can denote some kind of emotional or sexual hangup, but then again who doesn’t have at least one of those? But seriously, you need to devote your attention to the matter at hand instead of letting your thoughts stray to that certain someone. It’s for certain that he sure isn’t spending every moment thinking of you, so let that dose of reality sink in.

The Sun in Taurus trines the same Pluto in Capricorn at 9 pm exactly. Pluto is evolution on all levels, and personal power. With the Sun, Pluto helps one to take control of self and situation. You have a bad habit? Pluto can dig down to the root causes of your need for this habit, and can root it out at the source. You feel like your life is out of your control? Pluto can help you at least change your self, the only thing you can change.

Venus opposes Saturn in Libra at 8:14 pm Saturday. Also Mars conjoins Jupiter in Aries overnight, at 12:26 am Sunday, May 1. Aries may feel pretty frustrated with blocks in their path; Aries doesn’t like to have to wait for others, or ask permission. Saturn can be authority, and basically the only authority that Aries accepts is their own. But Saturn demands you toe the line like everyone else, and so you have to deal with it. Mars-Jupiter can tempt you to take unusual risks; um, just be safety-conscious, OK? We don’t want you to crack your head open (again?).

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also the sign of their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. Also note: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIESMarch 20-April 19 – The Moon is in Aries from 1:33 pm Friday thru the weekend. You can look at things from a different perspective Friday night, under a Moon-Uranus conjunction. Possibly you meet some strange people, foreigners, or you just see the humor in a situation. The Moon squares Pluto very early Saturday; you may wake up determined to get your tasks done no matter what. If you remain focused on the goal, you can achieve anything you want that day. And then you can coast right on into next Sunday in overdrive.

TAURUSApril 20-May 20 – The Sun in Taurus sextiles Chiron in in Pisces Sunday night. You may find relief in self-administered remedies; it doesn’t hurt to try grandma’s teas, or look up free advice on the internet. (NOTE: don’t swallow tinctures/essences unless advised by an experienced practitioner) The Sun in Taurus trines Pluto in Capricorn Wednesday night; you find the right lawyer or editor who can take your case to a successful conclusion; in some cases that person may be yourself.

GEMINIMay 21-June 20 – Best days may be Sunday-Tuesday, when the Moon is in compatible Aquarius. Easter Sunday favors enjoying love and laughs with friends. Monday’s Moon-Saturn trine can turn into a grand air trine if your natal planets are near 12 degrees. Hold a bull session to generate loads of great ideas for further development. Or do an interview, or post flyers. Career is favored on Wednesday when the Pisces Moon receives harmonious sextiles. Friends may be upset on Friday night, so talk them down because you’re such a good friend.

CANCERJune 21-July 22 – Moon in Pisces on Wednesday favors getting lots done inre personal business such as legal matters, publishing, college, or getting up a website. A friend of yours or of your spouse’s may be quite helpful. You may get a career insight under a Uranus transit Friday night; setting things in motion over the weekend will help you start next week with a full (energy) tank. You may also have a lot of projects scheduled for the weekend, and I predict you work up an unstoppable head of steam.

LEOJuly 23-Aug. 22 – All that Aries energy on Sat., April 30, fires up your solar ninth house without entangling you directly in the loose T-square. Keep plugging away at matters related to law, college, publishing, or the internet. Pallas and Vesta in your solar seventh house for much of the year, and Juno in your second house, reiterate the theme that your spouse (or a partner) is a key person in this year’s agenda. Turns out that your spouse has previously unknown skills that you need to develop your own career and personal goals.

VIRGOAug. 23-Sept. 22 – The fact that the Sun has moved into Taurus activates your solar ninth house sector; you may teach or enroll in classes, advocate legal or other issues for the poor, or volunteer your many skills in the community. The emphasis is on practical skills. Juno in your sign (thru July) favors finding things that you and your spouse can do together, whether in your community or in your own back yard.

LIBRASept. 23-Oct. 22 – Best days may be when the Moon is in compatible Aquarius, Sunday afternoon thru Wednesday. Uranus in Aries sextiles the Moon early Sunday, adding laughs and a different way of looking at things. Venus in your opposite sign sextiles the Moon Sunday night, favoring a private little apres dinner drink with your spouse. Moon in Aries on Saturday, though, may be a bit too stressful for your mate to attend to you, so don’t take it personally.

SCORPIOOct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon is in watery Pisces Wednesday and Thursday, perhaps triggering too much emotion in yourself. Best days instead may be Sunday night and Wednesday night. Sunday has the Taurus Sun sextile Chiron in Pisces; a spouse may suggest just the right herb tea to settle your stomach. Wednesday has Sun square Pluto in Capricorn, which may be just the thing to prod you into taking charge of your life.

SAGITTARIUSNov. 22-Dec. 21 – Mars, Venus and Mercury in compatible Aries boost your vitality, and explain your eagerness to express yourself. You can’t wait to get out into nature on hikes or climbing rocks, now that spring has sprung. You may already be volunteering your time and energies at the local nature center or campground. Don’t forget to promote local events online; you might guest on internet radio channels, too.

CAPRICORNDec. 22-Jan. 19 – You don’t mind spending money on loved ones, and that applies this Easter Sunday. I see you doling out the prizes for finding Easter eggs, with a swell time had by all the youngsters. Friday and Saturday may be a bit stressful, though, with the Moon in Aries and activating the T-square. You might elect to neutralize that stress with a strenuous hike or camping out, or with another one of your home projects.

AQUARIUSJan. 20-Feb. 17 – The Moon is in Aquarius from 1:59 pm Sunday, April 24 till the wee hours Wednesday. The Moon sextiles Uranus in Aries at 6:39 pm Sunday; fun and laughter come easily when visiting with relatives this Sunday. A Moon-Venus sextile late at night favors one-on-one time with a loved one; you might also indulge in all that Easter candy (Venus) so watch it. A judge may rule favorably on your case Monday. A little touch football or other sports with relatives or neighbors is favored for Monday afternoon, under sextiles to Mars and Venus. A Moon-Jupiter sextile kicks off the day Tuesday; optimism and even luck may follow your footsteps.

PISCESFeb. 18-March 19 – The Moon is in Pisces from 12:57 am Wednesday till midday Friday. The Moon is at the midpoint of Sun and Pluto Wednesday afternoon; you can master your feelings and exert a measure of control over your life. The Moon is inconjunct Saturn early Thursday; you will have to adapt to having some supervision over your work, even tho you probably know your stuff as well as anyone in the office.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
