Your Milky Way Horoscope April 1-7, 2012

By Milky Way Maid

Venus enters Gemini at 11:18 am Tuesday. Venus in Gemini is the big flirt of the zodiac, sorry Gemmy if you are tired of hearing that. Venus here does not generally like to be touched, and prefers a mental connection before getting serious about a relationship. Admirers may come in pairs or multiples, making it harder for you to make up your mind. Some famous people with Venus in Gemini include Leslie Caron, Bill Shakespeare, Ringo Starr, John Glenn, Richard Strauss, and Benjamin Spock.
Mercury goes direct at 6:11 am Wednesday at 23 degrees 51′ of Pisces. You can come out from under the covers now, honest. Mercury does not reach the degree that it turned retrograde till April 23, so you will probably be checking your work and correcting errors till then. Gotta be done. The computer ate some files? – hope you have backup. The dog ate your homework? – oh, c’mon, you can do better than that. Ignore promises made while Merc was retrograde; they won’t pan out, 9 times out of 10.
Venus at 2 degrees Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces at 9:48 pm Thursday. Do not sign contracts – someone may be scamming you. You’re attracted to get-rich-quick schemes which will not pan out. You could fall for someone who is not what he says he is.
Full Moon Friday at 3:19 pm as the Moon opposes Sun in mid-Aries. The Moon is inconjunct Jupiter and Mercury on either side of the opposition to the Sun, so I would take that to mean that you may need to brush up your skills by taking a class or two. Mercury and Jupiter are both students, with one being the higher octave of the other.
Venus at almost 4 degrees Gemini squares Mars in Virgo at 7:36 pm Saturday. Passions are aroused. This can be either good or bad, depending on how you handle it. If you fight with your mate, it can be so much fun making up. But there will be friction between you – may start a nice blaze in the fireplace, or just an aggravating brush fire.

Your Milky Way Horoscope March 25-31, 2012

By Milky Way Maid

Yes, I am a wee bit later than usual in getting this week’s column out. Just needed a time-out. Will also try to get the following week’s column on time – that is, no later than Tuesday.
The Moon is conjunct Jupiter at 12 degrees Taurus at 6:02 pm Sunday. A Moon-Jupiter conjunction makes all that feel-good stuff fill our inner bucket and splash all over everyone in the same room with us. Can be actual euphoria, or just a quiet feeling of well-being, and trust in the future. In Taurus, it often means that the Taurean likes too much of a good thing – now, if they can resist gobbling up the whole plate of goodies, they will insist you try a wee bite of same. Oh, and if you go grocery shopping under this aspect, don’t be surprised if you go in for just bread n milk, and come out with five bags of the most tempting gourmet offerings.
Mercury at 25 degrees Pisces sextiles Venus in Taurus at 1:43 pm Thursday. Mercury and Venus in pleasant aspect denote charm, small talk, good manners (please and thank you), asking favors of others, compliments, and the recipe for the sweet treat that you take in to work. Very good for scheduling a luncheon for any purpose, with any one. Generally the tone is quite light so don’t ruin it by pushing a hard sell. Your purpose should be to grease the social wheels – and the rest should take care of itself.
The Sun in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn at 3:56 pm Thursday. Sun-Pluto squares generally signify a power struggle between the self or ego against the powers-that-be. It is time to see what we are made of – digging deep down for the strength to resist. Pluto represents mass movements – the creation of labor unions, the struggles of the masses to gain or assert their rights as human beings. We cannot win by fighting alone; we have to join with those who share our situation and know what we stand to gain or lose.
Here’s a difficult aspect to interpret: Venus at 27 degrees Taurus inconjunct Saturn in Venus-ruled Libra at 2:24 pm Saturday. This could operate as a mutual exchange – of sorts. Saturn exalted in Libra, in aspect to Venus which rules both signs. Inconjuncts point to adjustments, sometimes creative ones like when we re-arrange the furniture. Saturn is the experts, the pros, the odds-makers and taste-makers. Venus is our ideas of beauty and fashion. The taste-makers may change their opinion of what constitutes true beauty. Could we possibly see models who are not so skeletally thin as they are at present? Will a popular fashion gain official approval and adoption by designers and stylists? Stay tuned.

Video: Interpreting Viking Runes

Hi, I just had a brainstorm and decided to make a brief introductory video (made up of pictures of rune symbols and placards) about the Viking runes, aka Futhark. Futhark comes from the initial letters of the first few letters of the Viking alphabet.

I had thought that I could upload a video clip, but I have not bought a video upgrade. So what I am going to have to do is upload it to YouTube and just give you the link here. I had to go pretty fast thru this, and I apologize. But you can freeze-frame thru it, and take notes.

It’s up — the YouTube link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYcDE_nwXtk

Your Milky Way Horoscope March 18-24, 2012

By Milky Way Maid

As I mentioned last week, Mercury is conjunct Uranus in Aries at 1:22 pm Sunday. I wouldn’t be surprised if mechanical or electronic gadgets blow a fuse. Your own brain may be able to make leaps of logic without your conscious awareness of each step in your calculations. Many thoughts crowd your brain; keep a note pad nearby to catch some of those ideas, which may prove useful in years to come.
The Sun enters Aries at 1:14 am Tuesday. Happy Birthday to all the Rams and lambs! Sun in Aries types are self-starters. They like to get things going, and if one of their original ideas is too far ahead of its time, they are sometimes too willing to abandon it in favor of something that will be accepted. Their dynamic energy inspires others to find their own uniqueness and a way to express it. Aries needs to take a lesson from its opposite sign Libra, and learn to work with others in a team effort. Famous Sun-Aries natives include: Doris Day, Gregory Peck, Thomas Jefferson, Vincent Van Gogh, Warren Beatty, Henry Luce, Julie Christie, Robert Frost, J. William Fulbright, and Arturo Toscanini.
The Sun is conjunct Mercury at 3:21 pm Wednesday at 1 degree Aries. May or may not be an big idea day, altho with Uranus close by, it is more likely that we we get a Bright Idea at least once this week. Barbara Koval wrote that the Sun-Mercury conjunction is either the start of a buying phase or a selling phase; watch stock prices before and after the conjunction. The stock market has been generally upward lately, so I would expect prices to soften. While Mercury is behind the sun (10-20 days), there is a period of buyer uncertainty while the new trend sorts itself out.
We have a New Moon at 10:37 am Thursday, at about 2 degrees of Aries, almost on top of Uranus at 4 degrees of Aries. This is a near repeat of the Sun-Mercury conjunction, so read that paragraph.
The Sun is conjunct Uranus at 4 degrees Aries at 2:20 pm Saturday. This liberating energy may turn us all into Rebels Without a Cause, or if we suppress it, we could wind up in accidents instead. Break out of your rut in a conscious way, if only by taking a different route to or from work. Every day does not have to be the same thing over and over, like “Groundhog Day.”

Your Milky Way Horoscope March 11-17, 2012

By Milky Way Maid
This week’s report is a bit truncated due to the fact I just caught a cold. Can’t think anymore. Achoo. Cough. Cough. Sniff.
On Sunday Mercury is conjunct Vesta in Aries and trine Juno in Sag. This Vesta in Aries drives for perfection, but Mercury almost immediately goes retrograde on her and makes a laughingstock of her perfect plans. Even with the best of helping partners formulating those plans (Juno), I think the result could be rather embarrassing. Wait till you run this by everyone, call it beta software — whatever will keep the egg off your face.
Mercury goes retrograde Monday at 3:49 am. Mercury is at 6 degrees 49 minutes of Aries, and will retrograde into Pisces by the weekend of the 24th. It will go direct again on Wednesday, April 4. Mercury will not reach the point at which it started going retrograde until April 23. Mercury retro is not the end of the world. For one thing, it is good for vacations because you know you will wind up where you started from – home. Also it can be good for finding out stuff you were not supposed to find out, due to another person’s slip of the tongue or whatever. BTW if you misplace things, Alphee Lavoie has a fine article on using horary to find lost items. It is at Alphee.com.
Jupiter in Taurus trines Pluto at 9 degrees Capricorn at 12:43 am Tuesday. Venus trines Pluto at 9:27 pm the same day, and Venus conjoins Jupiter at 1:54 am Wednesday. PLUS, Venus trines Mars, and Mars trines Jupiter on Wednesday. The few days surrounding this aspect should be very powerful for all of you earth-sign people.
Mercury retrograde at 3 degrees Aries is conjunct Uranus at 1:22 pm NEXT Sunday. I wouldn’t be surprised if mechanical or electronic gadgets blow a fuse. Your own brain may be able to make leaps of logic without your conscious awareness of each step in your calculations.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
