Mars at 2 degrees Pisces is conjunct Neptune at 3:57 pm Monday. The worst aspect between these two planets is the conjunction, because if it touches natal planets it can drain your energy to the last drop.

Mercury enters Pisces at 9:56 am Tuesday. Mercury in Pisces can be a quick learner because it just absorbs things like a sponge, rather than consciously studying material. Mercury here can also be very intuitive but afraid to share her impressions; however, mature Pisceans are able to share not just a impressions but fully detailed visions of how the world could be. Afflicted Mercuries can overpower one with fantasies or even delusion. But well-aspected Mercuries can be a sign of a powerful imagination that yields artistic treasures. Can be careless and share gossip without realizing the damage that is done. Famous people with Mercury in Pisces include: author Victor Hugo, Abraham Lincoln, justice Earl Warren, actor Sidney Poitier, and political dreamer Eugene McCarthy.

Venus at 5 degrees Aquarius sextiles Uranus in Aries at 2:08 pm Wednesday. These Venus-Uranus aspects make us meet all sorts of fascinating people, most of whom just pass through our lives – but they sure are thrilling while they are around. Uranus types include foreigners, people with unusual ideas or ways of dressing, astrologers and psychologists, and of course computer geeks and electricians. Venus finds them oh so charming.

Mercury at 2 degrees Pisces is conjunct Neptune at 6 pm sharp on Wednesday, altho Neptune always tends to run late, ha ha. This is sure to snarl some communications. Either the cell drops calls, or the fax runs out of toner, or the emails go into the spam file and never get read.

Venus at 6 degrees Aquarius trines Jupiter in Gemini at 12:58 am Thursday, which means you might stay up late eating that stash of Twinkies you snatched up when the announcement came thru that the Hostess snack company was closing up. Venus is sweets and Jupiter is overdoing, so you really could get sick on candies or bakery.

Mercury at 5 degrees Pisces is conjunct angry Mars at 12:57 pm Friday. Mercury conjunct Mars is perfect shorthand for fierce arguments – although it also can mean brisk debate. This is not the time to inquire about a broken promise or a loan not repaid or why your man doesn’t spend enough time with you. Now, having said that, Pisces has generally a dampening effect on this kind of aspect, so Pisces will get really angry, and then slump down on the couch bemoaning how awful people are to her all the time. Sob, sob.

People in the Pacific time zone will see the New Moon Saturday night at 11:20 pm. People in the Eastern time zone will see the NM at 2:20 am. It will be at 21 degrees, 43′ of Aquarius, and usher in the Chinese year of the Snake. Accompanied by Mars square Jupiter, the NM heralds a period of risk-taking – what kind of risk-taking depends on where it falls in your chart. An article on the Chinese year of the Snake can be found here:

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIESMarch 20-April 19 – Best time this week may be Monday night when a Moon-Uranus trine gives you a sense of freedom. Also this week, Mercury enters your solar twelfth house; you may suddenly become extra psychic. But Wednesday’s impressions will be so muddled, that no one can interpret them. Also Wednesday, a friend may suddenly look fascinating and exotic to you. An argument Friday can have personal repercussions, so bite your tongue and walk away.

TAURUSApril 20-May 20 – Fixed signs have problems getting family members to even come to the breakfast table early Sunday; make them promise to gather for dinner. Also this week, Mercury enters your solar eleventh house; you may offer your services for a non-profit or a club, possibly as secretary or bookkeeper. Wednesday will not favor clarity in your assignments, however. The Mercury-Mars conjunction may trigger an upsetting argument with a friend midday Friday; please, agree to disagree and avoid the subject forever.

GEMINIMay 21-June 20 – Also this week, Mercury enters your solar tenth house; you may get a challenging position in the communications or transit industry. Just a caution- Wednesday night may be one heckuva muddle with no one in charge of issuing statements. An argument at work Friday could blow off some steam, but be very careful how you phrase things. You may challenge yourself with a weekend class or seminar; the material might not come easy to you this time around, but it will stretch you.

CANCERJune 21-July 22 – Monday afternoon, your lawyer could torpedo your case in spite of the best intentions. Also this week, Mercury enters your solar ninth house; you may enroll in classes or even teach this month; just be aware, there will be a lot of confusion in the process of setting up anything on Wednesday. Late Wednesday or early Thursday some boon related to a family business may come your way. An argument in the classroom or in court Friday may need to be said, but still be careful that you are not in contempt.

LEOJuly 23-Aug. 22 – Fixed signs may hear ‘no’ from their mates in reply to their proposed agendas for the day early Sunday; maybe waiting till noon would be better. Also this week, Mercury enters your solar eighth house; you may get several insurance quotes, but make sure they cover the same things and same levels of reimbursement. A fierce argument can break out over an inheritance or over insurance matters; you may need to talk things over with an impartial advisor.

VIRGOAug. 23-Sept. 22 – Best days may be Wednesday-Thursday, when the Moon is in compatible Capricorn. You may be able to help a confused customer Wednesday afternoon. Some favor may be granted you in the workplace, maybe just getting a more comfortable office. Also this week, Mercury enters your solar seventh house; you may easily fall in love with someone who seems glamorous or idealized, but you are just writing on a blank slate. A fierce argument with your partner can break out Friday, so try to defuse issues before all heck breaks loose.

LIBRASept. 23-Oct. 22 – Also this week, Mercury enters your solar sixth house; you may spend a lot more time in volunteer work or your regular office job. Just a warning tho, that Wednesday is going to be one heckuva mess to clear up. Staying up late Wednesday to brainstorm may be a great idea, since your natal planets plus the Venus-Jupiter trine make a Grand Trine in air. Make due notes of all ideas generated. An argument with coworkers can flare up Friday from nowhere; turn it over to management and refuse to be sucked into the fighting.

SCORPIOOct. 23-Nov. 21 – The Moon is in Scorpio as the week begins, till late Monday morning. You feel like getting out of the house Sunday morn, possibly for a long, solo bike ride to the lake. Monday morning is spent totally absorbed in work. Also this week, Mercury enters your solar fifth house; you may do more creative writing, or any kind of artistic pursuits, with a good deal more flair than you’ve seen before. Friday night the Mercury-Mars conjunction is in a good place, in your solar fifth house of sports and contests, where trained athletes duke it out (so to speak) and we enjoy a good match-up.

SAGITTARIUSNov. 22-Dec. 21 – The Moon is in Sag from 10:45 am Monday till midday Wednesday. It’s like slogging thru quicksand after lunch Monday. There is some chance of a home plumbing problem, too, on Monday. You don’t wake up till the evening when riding your Harley thru the countryside. Thursday afternoon is much more productive and tasks proceed cordially. Also this week, Mercury enters your solar fourth house; you may host a student or meetings this month. However, there’s a great deal of confusion about this on Wednesday, so wait for that to clear up. A terrible argument can break out in the home Friday; it’s good to get issues out in the open, but be careful what you say.

CAPRICORNDec. 22-Jan. 19 – The Moon is in Capricorn from 12:55 pm Wednesday till Friday afternoon. Wednesday evening presents cautions to avoid drugs, alcohol or even strange foods. Thursday is a day when if you mentally prepare yourself early in the morning, you could accomplish a great deal by the end of the day. Avoid being drawn into controversies midday Friday, I mean it. Mercury enters your solar third house; you may be much busier than usual this month although this Wednesday offers a great deal of confusion and rescheduled appointments. A lot of emphatic talk from you on Friday, just be sure that you really do mean it.

AQUARIUSJan. 20-Feb. 17 – Fixed signs may have to go to work early Sunday, and your body rebels. The Moon is in Aquarius from 2:17 pm Friday thru the weekend. Early risers Saturday are greeted with beauty and love everywhere. However, you may have difficulty carrying that mood forward thru your day, so take a moment here and there to close your eyes and say to yourself, I walk in beauty. Also this week, Mercury enters your solar second house; you may crunch a lot more numbers this month, but Wednesday can be a nightmare of errors and wonky calculators.

PISCESFeb. 18-March 19 – Monday afternoon will be especially confusing and stressful. Some of those issues will be straightened out by 48 hours later. Also this week, Mercury enters your solar first house; you may get the microphone, or represent the company in some official capacity. Just be forewarned, you need to get prepared with notes by Wednesday’s Neptune aspect, which will scramble your words and confuse all listeners.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
