Your Milky Way Horoscope July 28 – Aug. 3, 2013

July 20, 2013 at 6:43 pm

By Milky Way Maid

Venus at 7 degrees Virgo sextiles Jupiter in Cancer at 9:42 am Sunday. Kind transits between the two benefics are happy indeed. We feel more buoyant and sociable, and we may even be lucky with money. New relationships can be mutually beneficial. Investing money (Venus) in yourself is best, especially if you pay for classes in a Jupiter-related subject like law, medicine, college in general, or for a long trip. Even legal decisions can go your way.

Venus at 9 degrees Virgo trines Pluto in Capricorn at 8:50 am Tuesday. Emotional and artistic creativity can take on a much deeper intensity and power than usual. And any emotional, romantic entanglements will also be more profound. You may feel that you have truly found your soul mate.

Mars at 12 degrees Cancer squares Uranus in Aries at 11:08 pm Wednesday. Mechanical or electronic items tend to go on the fritz under this kind of transit. Have spare batteries and fuses on hand in case the fix is a simple one. Cars or engines may experience “sudden death” or merely seem to go on vacation. Since Cancer is a water sign, try not to spill liquids on computers or other electronic items. Internally, we may feel restless or rebellious without a cause. It is also possible that in cases where someone has resisted change, it may be forced upon them. You could even let loose and blast some poor hapless victim with a verbal attack – one that comes out of nowhere.

Venus at 13 degrees Virgo sextiles Mars in Cancer at 4:35 pm Friday – now there’s sure to be a popular aspect to use for a nice, romantic dinner out. Good aspects between Venus and Mars raise our energies as well as our attractiveness quotient, so this favors both sports (and other physically demanding activities), and just partying and having fun. Our manners are better, too – all the better to make that new gentleman look like a white knight. Even creative efforts at home decorating are favored, plus you have the extra energy to get up on a ladder and change curtains and such.

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIESMarch 20-April 19 – The Moon is void in Aries all day Sunday; stick to routine matters. Juno is about halfway thru your solar eleventh house; no doubt you have shown leadership in a local charity or coached a team. Friends may think you are odder and odder this past year or two, but you are following a distant drummer. You will soon realize that someone you met in the past month is just what you need in the romantic department. A family member may bring a girlfriend to dinner Friday.

TAURUSApril 20-May 20 – The Moon is in Taurus from 12:43 am Monday till midday Wednesday. Try not to let a friend get you off-track at work Monday morning. Mid-afternoon favors calls, errands or shopping. Earth signs can experience a Grand Trine from late afternoon to midday Tuesday as the Moon, Venus and Pluto swing into position; take charge of personal finances, and indulge in creative hobbies. Midday Tuesday favors chatting with a relative over lunch.

GEMINIMay 21-June 20 – The early part of the week may bring a financial boon but you have to nail it down before it slips away. The Moon is in Gemini from 11:42 am Wednesday through Friday. Wednesday night favors nothing more demanding than going to the movies. You can do your best work if you go in early on Thursday. Midday Thursday does not favor finding a coworker to help with a project. The Moon is void all day Friday in Gemini, so stick to routine matters. Especially avoid impulse spending on home décor Friday.

CANCERJune 21-July 22 – Try to leave the chip on your shoulder at home if going out Wednesday night. Thursday your cool executive ability surges to the front as Pallas in your sign trines Saturn and Neptune. The Moon is in its home, Cancer, from 12:30 am Saturday through the weekend. Saturday morning is lazy indeed, but about midday you will be determined to accomplish your to-do list. That nice buzz by supper time is the glow of meeting that goal; you might celebrate with a dinner out.

LEOJuly 23-Aug. 22 – On Sunday you are challenged to explain yourself, which you do with great charm. Vesta and Ceres in your sign trine Uranus in your solar ninth; an unusual or non-mainstream personal philosophy has possibly become very important to you. You may be the focus of attention at a romantic dinner Friday night. Restrictions start to ease by the weekend, making you ready to feel the wind in your hair and cut loose.

VIRGOAug. 23-Sept. 22 – You may decide on brunch or shopping with a friend Sunday, although you may not find anything you want to buy. The early part of the week may see subconscious needs surface. The second half of the week may bring news of a bequest or unexpected tax or insurance bills. Friday night go with friends to a party or game. The weekend may be lucky in terms of meeting new people or winning a door prize; insist on being introduced to anyone who catches your eye. Words of affection may come from a friend over the weekend, or possibly next week.

LIBRASept. 23-Oct. 22 – Your significant other may be the free spirit type who doesn’t want to be tied down; however, celestial forces conspire to keep you unofficially together. The middle part of the week is stressful or should I say challenging; juggling family which is important to you, vs. career ambitions can be a real trick. On Friday night a “guardian angel” type keeps you from getting a ticket. Continued personal austerity will keep you on track with your financial goals.

SCORPIOOct. 23-Nov. 21 – Early in the week you decide that floundering children should perhaps see a counselor, or you contact a parenting coach; good move! Mars favors going to a game Friday night with a couple friends. Co-ruler Pluto gets a nice lift Tuesday when a friend has very nice things to say about the mystery manuscript you lent him. Be especially safety-conscious Wednesday; you may have to repair some equipment. You yearn to take a long trip, possibly with a friend or a group excursion; well, pick up some brochures.

SAGITTARIUSNov. 22-Dec. 21 – A raise, bonus, or other perk may be in the offing at work. Make sure children know the basics of first aid, even tho they will of course call a parent. You may actually be the hero of the week on Friday night. Sag always wants its freedom, yet with the transit of Saturn in your solar twelfth, a subconscious need for limits and boundaries will become apparent. Perhaps that is what the transits of Ceres and Vesta are about; they travel your solar ninth house, urging you to gain a personal philosophy.

CAPRICORNDec. 22-Jan. 19 – A final decision in your favor may come through on Tuesday. Try to clear safety hazards at home before a family member trips over cords or whatever mid-week. Pluto in your sign is inconjunct Vesta mid-week; you might toss out the very thing you really need in your life. Friday night favors a romantic dinner with your mate, possibly at a foreign-themed restaurant. Saturday your spouse may be quite intuitive, so give a listen to her thoughts.

AQUARIUSJan. 20-Feb. 17 – An insurance matter may be settled at the beginning of the week, with a check to possibly arrive as soon as Friday. On Tuesday, a property matter reaches a final decision; this might be family property. On Wednesday night, stick to familiar routes and streets. Early Thursday morning may be your best window to make your pitch. On Friday you try out a nice restaurant recommended by a co-worker.

PISCESFeb. 18-March 19 – On Sunday, your mate promises to take you someplace nice for dinner; see Friday note. Your mate may receive a grant or other support from an organization Tuesday. Hope your rainy-day fund is full up, because a child may cause sudden expenses Wednesday. On Friday night, Venus favors a nice romantic dinner with your life partner. It would be well to guard your health this week and next, since Chiron in your sign is receiving powerful transits.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
