Your Milky Way Horoscope Feb. 9-15, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

The Sun at 23 degrees Aquarius squares Saturn in Scorpio at 2:57 pm Tuesday. This is a good day for respecting elders or those in authority – and at least one authority figure may stop you today to ask what the heck you were thinking of when you did such-and-such. That means you may be stopped by a cop for not signaling a turn or stuff like that. You may also have to follow The Plan (at work, for example) to the letter, so keep checking the company manual and style guide. You may also run into the word “NO!” when asking for favors or cooperation so do not act shocked or disappointed; you will have to just sit there and take it like a good trouper.

Mercury in retrograde motion re-enters Aquarius at 10:30 pm Wednesday. You will likely find yourself rehashing old ideas, old questions, going back to prior topics of discussion either at business meetings or in your personal life. Sometimes this retrograde also brings back people from your past – sometimes even from a past life.

The Sun at 26 degrees Aquarius trines Mars in Libra at 9:06 pm Friday. A Sun-Mars trine will surely recharge the batteries of many Aquarians. You’re a real ball of fire (oops, make that air) who starts things, who is full of great ideas, who gets people together to brainstorm for even more ideas on what the future could or should be like.

The Sun and retrograde Mercury are conjunct at 27 degrees Aquarius at 3:22 pm Saturday. Bargain-hunters will have a field day, as merchandise will likely be marked way down. As usual with a Mercury retrograde, examine the item carefully and check out details of features so that you do indeed get what you want. It is good for sellers because they can clear out old or used items from the shelves. Conjunctions generally mark a high volume of transactions, and in this case I feel that buyers will be happy with their purchases because the next Moon aspect is a sextile to Jupiter – buyers feel lucky to have gotten a steal. Mercury’s next aspect is a trine to Mars, where I suppose the sale income may be applied to taxes or other debts, and that’s a good thing.

Readers can follow not only their Sun sign horoscope but also their Ascendant for further clues to how your week will develop. NOTE: some aspects are exact on a weekend but may find opportunity for expression on the Friday or Monday nearest the exact aspect. Times given are in Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Savings Time depending on the season.

ARIESMarch 20-April 19 – Mercury re-enters airy Aquarius on Wednesday night, where you are much more comfortable talking with friends about ideas and infinite options. You bump into friends from the past, or possibly from a past life, as Mercury retrogrades back into your sector of friends and groups. Thursday morning is prime time for brainstorming for ideas and inspiration, especially from children or the arts.

TAURUSApril 20-May 20 – Tuesday afternoon may be the most stressful time of the week; the Sun-Saturn square affects your chart angles and you run into obstacles in dealing with others especially in regard to your career. Mercury retrogrades back into Aquarius and your career sector as of Wednesday; you rehash issues that you thought were settled back in January but there is lots to discuss yet. However, the Leo Full Moon on Friday renews the warmth and support of family and home life.

GEMINIMay 21-June 20 – The Moon is in Gemini from Sunday till Monday morning. Sunday morn is spent reading all the national news, while the afternoon is very high-energy; you may need to play some touch football or pickup basketball to burn off that peppiness. Early calls or email are favored Monday, but be careful where you put your purse mid-morn. A child may need funds for bail or a ticket Tuesday. Your energy, especially your mental energy, is very high Friday night so make note of good ideas that fly into your brain.

CANCERJune 21-July 22 – The Moon is in Cancer from 1:33 am Monday till Wednesday afternoon. Early calls are favored Monday, but mid-morn is more creative or idealistic. You may have to bite your tongue Monday night. Loved ones may seem distant Tuesday morning. You may have to straighten out matters for a child Tuesday afternoon. Early Wednesday sees energetic efforts on your part, but verify the details before you start.

LEOJuly 23-Aug. 22 – The Moon is in Leo from 2:15 pm Wednesday till early Saturday. A funny bounce of the football may be rather lucky for you Thursday morning. Midday Friday is not at all favorable for personal requests or business. You rather enjoy errands or going for a drive Friday night, or since your mate is so energized, going dancing.

VIRGOAug. 23-Sept. 22 – A friend may give you a huge boost late Monday or early Tuesday under a Jupiter vibe. The Moon is in Virgo from 2:26 am Saturday thru the weekend. You really must make an effort to keep your fears from taking over your thoughts midday Saturday. Saturday afternoon tends to favor trading or any exchanges, whether personal or business-oriented. You may have to finalize things on another date, tho.

LIBRASept. 23-Oct. 22 – You may run into financial obstacles Tuesday night when the Sun squares Saturn; do not submit applications for anything that day especially loan applications. Mercury re-enters airy Aquarius on Wednesday night, where you are much more comfortable talking about ideas and infinite options. You enjoy tossing ideas back and forth, rather like a medicine ball for the mind; try Friday night for a brainstorm session with friends.

SCORPIOOct. 23-Nov. 21 – Saturn in your sign is activated by the square to the Sun in Aquarius; Tuesday may be a galling day when someone dares to tell you No or throws an obstacle in your path. On Thursday you play the parent and lay a guilt trip on a dear one. Pessimism overtakes you midday on Friday, Valentine’s Day, making it hard to enjoy the bread and wine with your loved one.

SAGITTARIUSNov. 22-Dec. 21 – Thursday morning may be the best day of the week; you draw inspiration from other fiery people as you swap insights. Friday’s Full Moon in Leo (your solar ninth house of the World and Knowledge) is also favorable for you; a competitive spirit awakens while friends encourage you. Emphasis on your solar third house this week keeps you busy with errands, messages, appointments and revisiting relatives.

CAPRICORNDec. 22-Jan. 19 – Your mate is especially generous and supportive of you early in the week. Mercury re-enters your financial sector on Wednesday night, and you may be surprised to have to deal with old issues once more, possibly something like terms of a loan or matters of ownership. Friday’s Full Moon in Leo is asking you to express your creative energies and your inner child’s joy.

AQUARIUSJan. 20-Feb. 17 – Mercury re-enters your sign on Wednesday night, and you may have to reiterate statements already made weeks ago, or furnish new copies of documents. The Leo Full Moon on Friday accents your seventh house of partners and being in the public eye; favorable aspects grow out of that lunation and offer you outlets for your energies. Saturday favors listing things for sale that you no longer need.

PISCESFeb. 18-March 19 – Sunday is family day, when you enjoy an outing to a miniature golf course or the local pool. Tuesday and Wednesday feature the Moon in compatible Cancer, when your sense of fun is high. Mercury retrogrades back into your solar twelfth house of Aquarius, where you may enjoy reunions and quiet retreats. A Leo Full Moon on Friday accents your health sector, where the Lion’s strong heart and back may be tested in sports and other outlets for his energy.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
