Your Milky Way Horoscope AUG. 3-9, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

Dear Readers– Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when you might need to see a doctor about it.

Mars at 6 degrees Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces at 8:14 am Thursday. Mars-Neptune trines often are very idealistic, very other worldly. Other people laugh off ideas under this transit as totally impractical, but sometimes a brilliant innovation in implementing it makes it totally workable. Mars with Neptune also can be quite creative in artistic expression, such as dance and poetry.
The Sun at 16 degrees Leo joins Mercury at 12:21 pm Friday. This is a key economic turning point, so keep an eye on what the stock market does. Do prices go up or down or sideways? Mercury getting a trine from Uranus may mean that more foreign funds come into the market, propping up prices. Sun and Mercury soon square Saturn, which may mean some kind of obstacle puts a fly in that ointment. The trine especially favors solid intuitive insights. You might try a bit of remote viewing, picturing a place you have been meaning to go to, and then compare your actual visit to your remote visit to see you accurate your were.
Mercury in turn trines Uranus in Aries at 4:14 pm Friday. We succeed in spreading the word via electronic or computer-based media. So go ahead and post to your blog, leave comments on articles online, start that media-managing project you had in mind these last few weeks.
Then the Sun trines Uranus in Aries at 8:36 pm Friday. You get some positive feedback for expressing your individuality. Maybe you take the stage on open mic night, and a bit of applause stokes your ego.
Finally Mercury at 16 degrees Leo squares Saturn in Scorpio at 10:50 pm Friday. You may act like an authority on a pet subject, but let’s hope you have some actual cred regarding your chosen topic.
The Sun at 16 degrees Leo squares Saturn at 11:11 am Saturday. This aspect is usually associated with having to account for oneself or one’s actions. This sometimes occurs as a result of getting a ticket or arrest that requires you to appear in court and explain things to a judge. Sometimes it is merely being called in to chat with the boss about your performance. So the message is, watch your self and ask if you would likely be questioned about it if seen by someone in authority.
Vesta enters Scorpio this week. Emma Donath says that this can spur a total regeneration of the personality, possibly accompanied by psychic talents. Scorpio can become more exacting in demands they place on themselves, as well as of others. If Scorpio is your ascendant, they latch onto a higher goal in life, kind of like a Holy Grail, something that is more of a spiritual quest than a mere hunt for material gains.

Your Milky Way Horoscope June 15-21, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

Dear Readers– Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when you might need to see a doctor about it.

Father’s Day on June 15 features a Moon-Jupiter opposition. Dads might get overemotional about their kids or meaningful gifts received. Conversely, things going wrong may cause dads or moms to blow their stacks or over-react in other ways. So be gentle with Dad and go along with whatever he wants to do; he really loves you, you know.
Mercury retrogrades back into Gemini at 6:05 am Tuesday. We will have to make corrections to paperwork, call people back to cancel or reschedule appointments, or meet with professional people to clarify what we expect from each other.
Venus at 24 degrees Taurus sextiles sugar-daddy Jupiter in Cancer at 5:16 am Wednesday. Wishes can come true under this transit, so be careful what you wish for. This transit can make you a little too generous, so think things over before you give away any fur coats or diamonds. You might overdo in the food or drink department, especially with sweets. But on the whole, you will be in a very nice, contented mood, and may even feel like you are on vacation.
The Sun at 28 degrees Gemini is conjunct retrograde Mercury at 6:50 pm Thursday. This is an important point in the Mercury cycle so watch for any changes of direction in the stock market or in commodities prices. And hey, if you read my article on late degrees, you might also recognize this transit as a fine time to start that novel you have been meaning to write.
The Sun enters Cancer at 6:51 am Saturday. People with the Sun in Cancer are either a big baby, wanting to be taken care of, or everybody’s mama who takes care of others. Cancers are extremely proud of wherever they come from, and readily wave the flag no matter how long it has been since they lived there. A mature Cancer personality is very sensitive to the emotional pains of others, and can empathize and validate others’ feelings. Cancer is a very active sign since it is one of the cardinals; they are always doing something. They like all sorts of antiques and anything historical, which may include the moth-eaten old doll from childhood. Famous people with the Sun in Cancer include: comedian Phyllis Diller, rocker Ringo Starr, game show mogul Merv Griffin, pianist Van Cliburn, artist Rembrandt, Jean Jacques Rousseau, Helen Keller, Gilda Radner, Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor, PT Barnum, and Arianna Huffington.

Your Milky Way Horoscope April 20-26, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

Dear Readers– Please visit the website of the National Blood Clot Alliance at StopTheClot.org to learn more about blood clots and when you might need to see a doctor about it.

Happy Easter, everybody! Hope the Easter Bunny hopped over to your house and left you lots of nice things.

The Grand Square tightens this week. Jupiter in Cancer squares Uranus and opposes Pluto on Sunday. Uranus in Aries squares Pluto on Monday. Mars in Libra squares Jupiter on Tuesday. Mars opposes Uranus and squares Pluto on Wednesday. All of these occur on 13 degrees of the cardinal signs, a critical degree and a world degree. It would not surprise me if the Russia-Ukraine issue breaks wide open. It would not surprise me if the giant El Nino forming these last several weeks sets off a deluge and mudslides in California. Anything can happen, and natives of the cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn will all feel the effect the most.

Mercury enters Taurus at 5:16 am Wednesday. Mercury in Taurus can be amazingly plodding and literal-minded. They are not bad students but they may need time to turn ideas around in their heads before the light goes on; sometimes they are better students when they can try things hands-on rather than just reading words on a page. But once they have learned something, they know in backwards and forwards and inside out. Is most interested in tangible results and practical applications of ideas. Can be very stubborn, taking years to change his or her mind about something. A well-aspected Mercury here can indicate a pleasing voice, either for speaking or singing.
FAMOUS people with Mercury in Taurus include: ballerina Margot Fonteyn, Henry Fonda, Barbra Streisand, composer Richard Wagner, Eddie Arnold, J. William Fulbright, conductor Otto Klemperer, Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Willie Mays, Nikolai Lenin, painter Willem de Kooning.

Venus at 21 degrees Pisces trines Saturn in Scorpio at 1:15 am Friday. Venus and Saturn work together surprisingly well. Venus smooths over the ambition of Saturn, and helps him schmooze with influential people. Saturn gets serious about love, and may formalize (Saturn) a relationship with an engagement ring or wedding.

The Sun is conjunct Mercury at 6 degrees Taurus at 11:27 pm Friday. Sun with Mercury is a key turning point in the market cycle, so pay attention to Wall Street news that day. Natives with the conjunction can be intellectually brilliant, or great salesmen who are convincing at putting across their message.

Mercury at 7 degrees Taurus sextiles Neptune in Pisces at 1:27 pm Saturday. Even the favorable aspects between Mercury and Neptune can cause a lot of confusion. However, this transit might be a help at playing music that requires accurate fingering such as clarinet or a stringed instrument. Can be helpful in arts and crafts that requires color sense or following a chart or instructions.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Feb. 9-15, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

The Sun at 23 degrees Aquarius squares Saturn in Scorpio at 2:57 pm Tuesday. This is a good day for respecting elders or those in authority – and at least one authority figure may stop you today to ask what the heck you were thinking of when you did such-and-such. That means you may be stopped by a cop for not signaling a turn or stuff like that. You may also have to follow The Plan (at work, for example) to the letter, so keep checking the company manual and style guide. You may also run into the word “NO!” when asking for favors or cooperation so do not act shocked or disappointed; you will have to just sit there and take it like a good trouper.
Mercury in retrograde motion re-enters Aquarius at 10:30 pm Wednesday. You will likely find yourself rehashing old ideas, old questions, going back to prior topics of discussion either at business meetings or in your personal life. Sometimes this retrograde also brings back people from your past – sometimes even from a past life.
The Sun at 26 degrees Aquarius trines Mars in Libra at 9:06 pm Friday. A Sun-Mars trine will surely recharge the batteries of many Aquarians. You’re a real ball of fire (oops, make that air) who starts things, who is full of great ideas, who gets people together to brainstorm for even more ideas on what the future could or should be like.
The Sun and retrograde Mercury are conjunct at 27 degrees Aquarius at 3:22 pm Saturday. Bargain-hunters will have a field day, as merchandise will likely be marked way down. As usual with a Mercury retrograde, examine the item carefully and check out details of features so that you do indeed get what you want. It is good for sellers because they can clear out old or used items from the shelves. Conjunctions generally mark a high volume of transactions, and in this case I feel that buyers will be happy with their purchases because the next Moon aspect is a sextile to Jupiter – buyers feel lucky to have gotten a steal. Mercury’s next aspect is a trine to Mars, where I suppose the sale income may be applied to taxes or other debts, and that’s a good thing.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Dec. 29-Jan. 4, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

The Sun at 8 degrees Capricorn is conjunct Mercury at 1:28 am Sunday. This is a key point in the economic cycle (as are all the conjunctions between Sun, Mercury and Venus) so keep an eye peeled for stock market moves and hot sectors. Since this is in Capricorn, the sign of both Big Business and of government, those areas should feel the biggest impact. The Sun opposes Jupiter a week later, which may mean that gold (Sun) hits a correction point.
Mercury at 8 degrees 39′ Capricorn squares Uranus in Aries at 3:48 am Sunday. This is followed by the Sun square Uranus at 12:05 am Monday. Mercury-Uranus squares are generally bad for buying electronic or mechanical items; it may mean that repairs are called for on items you already have. To avoid accidents, avoid doing things on impulse – the key word there is impulse. Think what to do, use your signals, communicate your intentions. You might have some brainstorms, but your thoughts tend to be chaotic and so you benefit from writing down what needs to be done, step by step. Your nerves may also be jittery; skip the second cup of java. This is followed by the Sun’s hunger for change. You may change your routine, shake yourself out of a rut. Once I got on a plane under this transit, for a quick weekend trip. You need a change of scene instead of staring at the same four walls. Instead of channel surfing or web surfing, try visiting a museum show or gallery. Pick up a magazine you never heard of before about a subject you might not be familiar with. At the same time, expect the unexpected.
Mars at 11 degrees Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn at 8:16 pm Monday. If the Uranus squares are not channeled into constructive changes (see above) then this Mars-Pluto square may blast you out of your cozy cocoon. Mars and Pluto together are such an explosive combo, it’s like dynamite plus a nuclear bomb. Avoid dangerous places or hi-energy crowds. There can be ego conflicts or power struggles between business partners or marital partners. Ambition or control issues may be a sticking point. On the plus side, you can harness this energy to get a lot of work done, like cleaning out a garage or demolishing a building. You might also conceive a child if you have not been able to before.
Mercury is conjunct Pluto at 11 degrees Capricorn at 6:24 am Tuesday, and soon squares Mars in Libra at 9:59 am Tuesday. This is a lot like Mars-Pluto, but more verbal. Mercury plus Mars in particular is argument or debate, although Pluto wants to totally demolish the opponent’s assumptions and data.
Then the Sun is conjunct Pluto (again at 11 degrees) at 1:54 am Wednesday, New Year’s Day. I am going to make a suggestion on how to harness the power of the conjunction with Pluto (PS – there is also a New Moon in Capricorn on New Year’s Day at 6:14 am on 10 degrees 57′ of Cappy). Pluto has many meanings but I want to focus on the one that helps you to take control of your own life. You might want to also harness the power of the 11 degree number by waiting for the clock to hit 11:11 on your digital readout, and making a very concentrated, very earnest wish for your life, for the year, or for the near future. The numbers lady, Glynis McCants talked about how an actress made a wish for herself to get a plum role when the clock read 11:11; she got the part and hit it big with that role.
The Sun at 12 degrees Capricorn squares Mars in Libra at 7:14 pm Thursday. After all the heavy-duty transits listed above, this one may seem like a piece of cake. All ya gotta do is get into the gym and work off your frustrations. Because the square can mean being blocked or hemmed in somehow, and you really wanna dig in your heels and fight back. This is good in an athletic contest, where one team is down 10 points at the half and comes back to win the game in the second half.
Mercury at 15 degrees Capricorn opposes Jupiter retrograde in Cancer at 2:11 am Friday. Fifteen degrees is the world degree in cardinal signs, so there might be rather significant news in the wind. Pay attention to the fine print in any deals, or have someone with you who will take care of that. A tendency to arrogance sometimes with this transit, so don’t come across as a know-it-all. A sense of humor really helps lighten the mood.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Oct. 27-Nov. 2, 2013

By Milky Way Maid

Retrograde Mercury at 13 degrees Scorpio is conjunct Saturn at 4:48 pm Tuesday. You may have a tough go of it slogging thru college study material, but hang in there because your efforts will pay off in the end. Because Mercury is retrograde, what you learn or decide may be redone or rethought or taken back. Scientific methods need to be checked against a master “cheat sheet” of some kind.

Mars at 9 degrees Virgo trines Pluto in Capricorn at 6:45 am Thursday. This aspect may make it possible to dig down deep for a second effort on the ball field. It will be like accessing a supercharger!

Friday, November 1 is top-heavy with aspects:

Uranus at 9 degrees Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn at 7:13 am. This square can bring deep and radical changes – a bit like getting radical surgery for cancer, altho some cases may really require such drastic procedures. Some people with natal talents can psychically diagnose illnesses (whether physical or psychological).

Retrograde Mercury at 10 degrees Scorpio sextiles Mars in Virgo at 8:03 am. Mercury sextile Mars can bring a job offer that excites us, or anyway some message that is very exciting. There can be heated arguments or formal debates under such an aspect, or even lawsuits. With the retrograde, something may be wrong with a legal summons or contract, something that could require a do-over.

Sun at 9 degrees Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn at 1:02 pm. We may be called upon to rise to the occasion, be presented with some challenge that requires we dig down to be a tower of strength for others.

Sun at 9 degrees is conjunct Mercury at 4:16 pm. Sun conjunct the retrograde Mercury is a significant point in the economic cycle, so pay attention to what happens on Wall Street or at the Federal Reserve.

Mercury at 9 degrees Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn at 6:46 pm. Mercury with Pluto can be an obsession when great powers of focus get fixated on relatively minor items. It’s great for research and detective work of any type, be it medical, legal, criminal, or scientific.

Looking ahead, a Solar Eclipse occurs on the Full Moon at 11 degrees 16′ Scorpio, at 7:50 am Sunday, Nov. 3. The day is filled with easy conjunctions and sextiles, plus the lights are trine Jupiter. Things should be looking up for most people, especially natives of the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). The Pisceans may be considering surgery or other medical interventions, given the fact that Chiron is in close aspect with the Full Moon.

Your Milky Way Horoscope July 7-13, 2013

By Milky Way Maid

Venus at 12 degrees Leo trines Uranus in Aries at 8:14 pm Sunday. This is one of the best aspects between these two planets, but even so, relationships begun under it still tend to be short-term, or intermittent at best. Venus also represents money, of course, and this aspect could bring some pleasant surprises regarding money, even possibly a modest windfall. In all things, expect the unexpected.
Saturn is stationary direct at 1:12 am Monday, at 4 degrees 49′ Scorpio. Dane Rudhyar felt that Saturn represented the Ego as well as the traditions one is brought up with. “The king makes the new laws, but the old laws make the king,” he says. So it is difficult to completely break away from what is familiar to you and away from one’s comfort zone. Stephanie Clement says that Saturn retrograde often makes us feel like we we’re never good enough – if so, then the direct phase may mean that we have finally mastered a skill or task, have finally given ourselves credit for what we do know, and are ready to take our place in the sun.
The Sun is conjunct Mercury at 2:41 pm Tuesday. They are at 17 degrees Cancer. According to astrologer Barbara Koval, the Sun-Mercury conjunction signals the beginning of either a buying phase or a selling phase (in the stock market). (This depends on whether it is an inferior or superior conjunction, and other indicators.) Since Cancer is an acquisitive sign, this could kick off a buying phase in the stock market.
Mars enters Cancer at 9:22 am Saturday. Cancer is the sign of its fall, which means it will act like it wants to be in the opposite sign Capricorn, where it is strong. For the most part, Mars in Cancer is very home-loving, very happy to putter around the house either gardening or fixing things, or cooking something for loved ones. This Mars can be reluctant, even, to leave home when the child becomes an adult. If Mars is entering one of your health houses, you may find yourself suffering from too much acidity in the stomach, or other digestive upsets related to emotions.
Mars in Cancer can be competitive with others for emotional attention. Then, this Mars can reject those that it feels are not giving it the support it feels it needs. But a mature Cancer uses this energy to be aware of OTHER’S needs, and can grow by finding ways to see that everyone’s needs are met. This Mars can have a great understanding of the whole of human experience, and use that to create works of art in painting, music, novels or plays. Famous people with Mars in Cancer include: Mary Martin, Audrey Hepburn, Henry Ford II, Picasso, William Shakespeare, Copernicus, John Glenn, Dr. Ralph Bunche, William Styron, Arturo Toscanini, Pope John XXIII, Willy Brandt, and John Kennedy, Jr.
We have a New Moon at 16 degrees 18′ Cancer, at 3:14 am Monday. (The Moon goes void 4 and a half hours later.) It gains extra power with the conjunction to Mercury, and the fact of the Mars ingress (to Cancer) also adds a lot of energy potential, especially since all those planets will soon contact Jupiter, already in Cancer. Native Cancerians should have a bountiful and active month.

THE place to go for team wear for you and your pet. Thanks again.
