Your Milky Way Horoscope Jan. 19-25, 2014

By Milky Way Maid

Dear Readers: I missed a week of this month’s columns due to health problems. I was in the Intensive Care ward for a few days with a serious issue and my doctors have put me on medication while ordering more lab work. Please keep me in your thoughts for the near future. Thank you.
The Sun enters Aquarius at 10:51 pm Sunday. Aquarians are natural group members and sometimes group leaders; they accept that various members have different roles to fill in any healthy group dynamic. Aquarius natives almost always have an independent streak, sometimes being contrary for no reason at all except to express their “I gotta be me” attitude. Is often able to make members of a group feel included in determining the agenda for the group, so they willingly share info and lend their energies to the group project. Aquarians seem to understand human weakness, and are willing to have the group carry a member who is going thru a tough time. Aquarians look forward to all the new technology and scientific breakthroughs that the future brings, while remaining firmly grounded in the present time. This is a fixed sign, and don’t forget it! They are not flighty even though they look forward to change. They can be the most steadfast of friends and spouses. Famous people with the Sun in Aquarius include: Lewis Carroll, Charles Dickens, Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln, Gertrude Stein, W C Fields, Carol Channing, Franklin Roosevelt, Mia Farrow, and Wolfgang Mozart.
Mercury at 20 degrees Aquarius trines Mars in Libra at 9:57 pm Friday. Mercury with Mars in a positive aspect gives excellent hand-eye coordination, especially in sports and athletics. It is also a help in technical jobs and in creating crafts of fine workmanship.
Mercury at 22 degrees Aquarius squares Saturn in Scorpio at 6:56 pm Saturday. This could mean the arrival of bad news or at least serious news, and serious discussion of that news flash. You may have to accept a delay in progress on some matters on your agenda.

Venus at 9 degrees is conjunct Pluto at 8:27 pm Wednesday. Venus with Pluto says obsession to the point of destroying the one who rejects you, like in the movie “Fatal Attraction”. This Venus is searching for the soul mate who will complete her life.

Venus at 10 degrees Capricorn sextiles Saturn in Scorpio at 11:03 am Thursday. Venus-Saturn aspects can be very positive, adding stability to romantic or financial arrangements. Venus also helps Saturn types to gain a little social skill, such as schmoozing with the higher-ups.

The Sun is conjunct Mercury at 28 degrees Capricorn at 3:56 am Friday. A key point in the economic cycle, so keep one eye on the stock market and other indicators this week. If this falls on natal Sun or Mercury, you may be asked what you think about an issue, so have those note cards handy.

Mercury enters Aquarius at 2:25 am Saturday, and the Sun enters Aquarius at 4:52 pm. Mercury in Aquarius, like all air-sign planets, is very objective, sometimes to the point of being detached. Mercury here is also capable of recognizing and encouraging the individuality of others; some people can even reach a level where they are empathetic with others. Sun in Aquarius is able to lead without dominating others, possibly because they often handle things with a sense of humor and a humane perspective. Sun Aquarians can gain the cooperation of others by making people feel included in the management of the group. Famous people with Mercury in Aquarius include: Jackie Gleason, Thomas Edison, George Washington, FDR, Mia Farrow, Pope Pius XII, John L. Lewis. Famous people with Sun in Aquarius include: Charles Dickens, Thomas Edison, Abe Lincoln, W C Fields, Carol Channing, FDR, Shelley Berman, Mia Farrow, Wolfgang A. Mozart.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Jan. 15-21, 2012

By Milky Way Maid

Reminder: Venus is in Pisces now.
The Sun in Capricorn squares Saturn at 29 degrees Libra at 4:19 pm Thursday. A likely time for mass frustration, although it can result in a more focused drive to achieve a particular goal. Not a good time to start a new venture, but it does present challenges if you like that kind of thing.
Venus in Pisces sextiles Pluto at 8 degrees Capricorn at 3:32 pm Friday. This Venus-Pluto sextile could indicate a good opportunity to obtain loan approval, or increases in cash payouts. On a personal level, you could get a lot better acquainted with a special someone.
The Sun enters humanity-loving Aquarius on January 20 at 11:10 am. People with the Sun in Aquarius express an appreciation of the special gifts of everyone they meet. Aquarians are awed by technology, and have a great faith that mankind will continue to progress.
The Sun in Aquarius squares Uranus at 1 degree Aries at 8:20 pm Saturday. You might see upsets in sports events or in the political scene. While Uranus often signifies falls or accidents, the kinds of falls with the Sun involved probably will not result in broken bones. Uranus specializes in knocking those with pretensions of grandeur flat on their fannies.
Looking ahead: Mars will have its Retrograde Station on Jan. 23 at 23 degrees Virgo. Not a misprint; 23 and 23 is the key number.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Jan. 16-22, 2011

By Milky Way Maid

The is a major or minor aspect almost every day this week. It might be pretty eventful for some people.
The Sun at 27 degrees Capricorn is sextile Uranus in Pisces (which is still in orb of a conjunction to Jupiter) on Monday afternoon. Capricorn natives can make great strides when using the internet to network, promote themselves or their work, or do research. Broadcasting is also a productive medium.
Mercury is conjunct Pluto at 5 degrees Capricorn at 12:50 am Tuesday. This is great for research, for getting to the bottom of any problem, and for persuasive communications.

The Sun is sextile Jupiter at 29 degrees Pisces at 5:39 pm Wednesday. I told you that late degrees mean you can get whatever you want from life. Pisces tends to be a weeper, tho, so stop the whining and decide what you really want to wish for, then wish with all your heart.
The Sun enters Aquarius at 5:19 am Thursday, Jan 20. Happy birthday, Aquarians, for it appears that at least a glimpse of the Age of Aquarius may occur in 2011-2012. As I mentioned in a blog entry last week, the Neptune-Pluto conjunction of the late 1960s is coming to a square this year and next. That often means that the seed that was planted on the conjunction, produces fruit on the square. It is kind of like a mushroom whose threadlike roots are always underground, and when conditions are ripe, produces the wonderful ‘fruit’ that adds so much to soups and stews. Wonder what kind of ‘fruit’ the year will bring.
Jupiter enters Aries at 12:11 pm Saturday, Jan. 22. Jupiter in Aries favors pioneering projects and trends. Fashion accessories may feature lamb and sheep motifs. And hats will make fashion statements. Keyword is leadership. Your downfall can be impulsiveness, so look before leaping.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Jan. 17-23, 2010

The Moon-Jupiter conjunction happens at 1:22 am Monday in Pisces; this poses a huge opportunity for both mutable signs (Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, Sag) but also the water signs Pisces, Scorpio, and Cancer. You will all feel more optimistic and have more courage to move forward. Those with sextiles and trines to this conjunction will have to make more of an effort to take advantage of it, and those with squares will be forced to change or languish in the wake of an onrushing present.
Venus enters Aquarius on Monday at 9:35 am; the Sun follows suit on Tuesday at 11:28 pm. Venus in Aquarius can mean objective understanding and acceptance; it can also mean that one refuses to establish personal relationships because you either believe in universal love or because you just are unable to relate to anyone on a personal level. This Venus is best placed here for those who are in fields such as teaching or public speaking, where you can share your gifts without becoming personally involved with your audience. It does help foster relationships between equals.
Sun in Aquarius: theme song is “I Gotta Be Me.” Aquarius is probably best as a friend and supportive sibling, although they are capable of being committed and sentimental spouses. They can also drive others nuts with their contrariness, which is just another expression of their need to be different. But they have a gift for honoring the uniqueness of others, whether they are their children, siblings or colleagues at work. They can get groups to work together harmoniously without trying to dominate the situation.
Jupiter enters Pisces at 9:10 pm Sunday, Dec. 17. Jupiter is exalted in this sign, but don’t let that swell your head, Pisces. A weak personality can be lost in a state of helpless stagnation, wondering why society is so far from the visionary glory of a Utopia. But if you can enjoy your life moment to moment and co-create your reality with the help of your God or the mysterious Universe, then you can have that vision constantly created at every moment. Helping others to realize their potential gives you true joy. Trust in the Universe and its laws, and you can reap a life full of intrinsically rewarding activities.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
