Your Milky Way Horoscope March 3-9, 2013

By Milky Way Maid

The Sun is conjunct a retrograde Mercury at 7:58 am Monday, at 14 degrees of Pisces. This aspect usually brings calls or callers in pairs or threes, and with Pisces being a double sign anyway, that could double everything. With retrograde Mercury, we will possibly have to redo stuff from before the Merc retrograde station of Feb. 23. In fact this aspect may get confounded with the Venus-Jupiter square the same morning, when befuddled Pisces may promise far more than it can deliver.
Mercury and Venus trine Saturn on Wednesday and Thursday, sandwiching the Mercury-Venus conjunction at 1:54 pm Wednesday at 11 degrees Pisces. The conjunction is generally good for sales; here, with Mercury retrograde, merchants may have to knock the price down a bit to move items. The trine to Saturn favors selling used or scratch-and-dent stuff, all the way up to good antiques or blue-chip stocks.
Mercury at 8 degrees Pisces squares Jupiter in Gemini at 10:38 pm Saturday. Mercury ruling speech and Jupiter ruling bigness means we may tell the biggest fibs ever, the best fish stories, exaggerate, even proselytize (since Jove and Pisces both have an affinity for religion). Take everything you hear today with a big grain of salt, OK?

Your Milky Way Horoscope Feb. 24-March 2, 2013

By Milky Way Maid

The Sun at 7 degrees Pisces squares Jupiter in Gemini at 5:26 pm Monday. Sun square Jove can mean too much of a good thing, so don’t go pigging out at the buffet or drinking yourself into a stupor.
Venus enters Pisces at 9:03 pm Monday. Venus in Pisces can have a real desire to ease the suffering of others, to the point where they may actually have healing abilities. Their gift of empathy might allow others to take advantage of them, altho some older Pisceans become hard and gruff as a result. The mature Pisces sees past rules and laws to the spiritual level of relationships, and heals disharmony accordingly. One should be careful around some super-Pisces, tho, who drag someone down into a hospital bed even if that person is healthy as a horse, in order that they may have the pleasure of saving him or her. They are much better when channeling their sensitivities into the arts. Famous people with Venus in Pisces include: Leontyne Price, Shirley MacLaine, author Victor Hugo, George Washington, Ted Kennedy, Sandra Dee, comedian Danny Kaye, Carol Burnett, Adlai Stevenson, Martin Luther King Jr., George Harrison, Sidney Poitier and Vincent Van Gogh.
Also on Monday, note there is a Full Moon at 7 degrees, 24′ Virgo at 3:26 pm. With the Moon opposite Sun-Neptune, we really do need the giftie of seeing ourselves as other see us, because we haven’t a clue! Further muddling things is that we do not clearly see what our real needs are at the moment. The lights also square Jupiter in Gemini (where Jupiter is weak), where we give in to excess rather than being lifted up by higher consciousness. Just be extra careful not to drink and drive.
Mercury at 19 degrees Pisces is conjunct Mars at 4:09 am Tuesday, a volatile combination that often starts arguments or fights for no good reason. And with Mercury retrograde, one may be totally off base on one’s facts and have to eat one’s words.
Venus is conjunct Neptune at 3 degrees Pisces at 8:37 am Thursday. Venus-Neptune combos can mean being “in love with love”, falling for a shifty type, or other illusory types of love. Fortunately, the Moon is void-of-course almost all day, so nothing will come of any of Cupid’s errant arrows.
The Sun at 11 degrees Pisces trines Saturn in Scorpio at 3:31 pm Friday. Sun-Saturn trines can bring honors or recognition for one’s accomplishments, but with most people it just brings a sense of satisfaction or pride in finishing a job. You have earned the right to toot your own horn in your blog, or don your Superman underwear.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Feb. 17-23, 2013

By Milky Way Maid

The Sun enters Pisces at 7:02 am Monday. Pisces like the other mutable signs has no definite nature, so that the natives of this sign take their appearance and personality from stronger planets and signs in their natal chart. However, some things can be said of them as generally true. They often have a victim-savior complex (aka martyr-messiah), playing either or both roles to perfection. They may become determined to “save” someone who does not need saving, thank you very much. However, they often are able to soothe troubled souls and animals just by being there. Pisces can be very observant without even trying. They master the art of being everyone’s favorite. Famous people with Sun in Pisces include: Elizabeth Taylor, Jackie Gleason, Frederic Chopin, the late senator Edward Kennedy, Tricia Nixon, Sidney Poitier, Rex Harrison, playwright Edward Albee, Beatle George Harrison, Rudolph Nureyev, both Princes Edward and Andrew of England, Pierre Renoir, and Pope Pius XII.
Saturn has its retrograde station at 12:03 pm Monday, at 11 degrees, 32′ of Scorpio. Saturn will be retrograde until after the Independence Day holiday. Dane Rudhyar felt that Saturn stations gave one the opportunity to exercise the will, establish boundaries, study moral teachings, and learn from old patterns or traditions. As Rudhyar states, “The king makes the new laws, but the old laws make the king.” So law tends to perpetuate itself even when new laws replace old commandments. Dane also went on about how one’s name is synonymous with the Will, but I differ with him on that. (I think that the name is the Sun, and the Will is Saturn.)
Another astrologer – and I apologize for not having notes on where this is from – says that during the Saturn retrograde, we may be forced to restructure payment schedules or any other schedules, organizations, programs, procedures, and so forth. Retrograde periods are good for completing something left undone. You may be forced to learn hard lessons either on taking responsibility or on not taking on duties that do not belong to you.
The Sun at 2 degrees Pisces is conjunct Neptune at 2:19 am Thursday. Here we go again, Pisces is spacey enough without a Neptune conjunction, y’know? I am trying to be light-hearted about this, but the fact is that some of us may be hard-pressed to keep ourselves in the moment and firmly connected to reality and our to-do list. If we need a break or a nap, fine, take your break or the nap. Take care of yourself, then make a list of what you need to do and when you need to do it – go from there.
Mercury at almost 20 degrees Pisces has a retrograde station at 4:41 am Saturday. Well! Mercury in Pisces is spacey anyway, and toss in a retrograde and you have trouble, my friends! Oh, I am trying to take these Mercury retrogrades lightly, since they happen so often and actually, you can get them to work for you in some ways. Like, clean out that drawer or closet and find buried treasure! Or “do over” some project and do it right this time. We have to check up on our assumptions, which may be totally off-base from reality, find the errors in our math or in the bank statement, use a different formula, find an old book that is truly amazing, find out new info (some of which we were not supposed to find out, tee hee).

Your Milky Way Horoscope Feb. 10-16, 2013

By Milky Way Maid

Mars at 6 degrees Pisces squares Jupiter in Gemini at 3:12 am Sunday. Mars-Jupiter squares are good for athletic events because the athletes reach down deep for their best effort – the emphasis is on Effort, which is one keyword for the square. In other areas, the square denotes risk-taking, as in gambling or in any other endeavor. You may be on quite a roll – at least until that one bad bet.
Venus at 11 degrees Aquarius squares Saturn in Scorpio at 1:42 am Monday. Venus square Saturn could be either “good” or “bad”, depending on your point of view and level of maturity. It can mean settling down with one’s life partner in marriage. It could mean breaking off a relationship if one feels too confined in it. Since Venus also rules money, there may be financial pressures or burdens.
Mercury at 11 degrees Pisces trines Saturn in Scorpio at 2:15 pm Tuesday. Saturn rules science and Mercury rules logic, so a good Mercury-Saturn aspect can denote scientific thinking. You are ready to sit down and crunch those numbers, test your hypothesis, take a random sample, etc. Since Saturn also rules older people, you may have a productive chat (Mercury) with an older person, professor, or mentor.
Mars at 11 degrees Pisces trines Saturn in Scorpio at 11:14 am Saturday. Mars and Saturn both have something to do with the military or police forces, with getting organized, logistics, etc. Together they may denote planning of an assault force or SWAT team or other military or para-military group. For the rest of us, we may have success at keeping to our New Year’s resolution, or making a new one to lose weight, for example, and stick to it.
We have a New Moon at 2:20 am Sunday, Feb. 10, at 21 degrees 43′ of Aquarius. The Moon precedes the conjunction with the Sun (New Moon) with a square to Saturn in Libra, and follows the New Moon with a conjunction to Neptune in Pisces – both hard aspects to malefic planets. So we are forced to deduce this will be a hard and difficult New Moon, with some illness or suffering (Neptune) in the news. Let’s hope that the current influenza strain does not get out of control.BTW it is also the Chinese New Year of the Snake.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
