Have Wills and Kate Produced a Daredevil? (chart included)

by Milky Way Maid

Well! The heir to the throne that everyone has been waiting for finally arrived July 22, somewhat overdue. He was a BIG baby, weighing in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces. The official birth-time was given as 4:24 pm, London time, giving baby George a late Scorpio ascendant and a Full Moon chart.
First a note about his given names. He has been dubbed “George Alexander Louis” and will be called His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.
The internet quickly picked up on the fact that these names coincidentally (?) honor the actors who played the major roles on the old Seinfeld TV series. That is, George Costanza, Jason Alexander, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Will this irreverence offend the Queen? Will the names affect the relationship between the young couple and the Queen?
I like to check first to see if any planets are on late degrees of any signs. Baby George has two, the Sun at 29 degrees of Cancer and the Moon at 28 degrees Capricorn. Late degrees of Cancer can signify a hefty inheritance, or carrying on a family business. Of course the family business in his case is the throne; this might be one signal that George might actually reign one day. [John F. Kennedy had Saturn in a late degree of Cancer, too; his “family business” was politics.] Late degrees of Capricorn helps one in the business world, especially in building up a large business. Maybe this will help him to promote British industry and trade. Interestingly, Princess Diana had Saturn at 27 degrees Capricorn; she was a great boost to the British fashion industry.
Then I like to check also to see if there are planets on critical degrees. [The critical degrees are 0, 13 and 26 of the cardinal signs; 8 and 22 degrees of the fixed signs, and 4 and 17 of the mutable signs.] George has three planets on critical degrees: Mercury at 13 degrees Cancer, Uranus at 12 degrees Aries, and Neptune at 5 degrees Pisces. While the placements of Uranus and Neptune affect many thousands of babies born that week, Mercury is interesting because it just went direct on July 20. I feel that Mercury is stronger due to the fact that it is almost hovering in one spot, even though it is actually moving forward now.
Mutual Reception– George has Moon and Mars in mutual reception. Mars in Cancer (Mars is in its detriment in Cancer) is exalted in Capricorn; Moon in Capricorn (the Moon is in its fall in Capricorn) is ruler of Cancer. Both planets are weak by natal position, but are strengthened by the mutual reception. There are other and more subtle mutual receptions, created by planets being in a house that they also rule.

Your Milky Way Horoscope June 24-30, 2012

By Milky Way Maid

Vesta in Taurus opposes Juno in Scorpio at the beginning of the week. This is a new one me, folks, so we will all just have to take notes on this one. Aspect is at 22 degrees of the fixed signs, so if you have natal planets there, they will probably be affected by this. This is close to my nodal axis in relationship houses, so something ought to happen.
Saturn goes direct at 4:00 am Monday morning, at 22 degrees 46′ of Libra. The few days around the station seem like nothing is happening, but the retrograde period was a chance to FINISH things or RESTRUCTURE payments, organizations, procedures, etc. Now that you have that spanking new filing system in place, keep it up and keep placing documents in their files as you go.
Jupiter at 3 degrees Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces at 3:56 am Monday. This aspect typically sets off a great religious or spiritual renewal at the societal or historical level. At the same time we need to beware of being scammed into donating our car to a charity that turns out to not be a charity, for example. In the words of one of the apocryphal gospel texts, give your money to the poor, but let the money sweat in your hand a little while you find out if this is a worthy place to donate it.
Mercury enters Leo at 10:24 pm Monday. Mercury in Leo is two-sided. On the one hand, he can come off sounding so dictatorial, as if everything HE says is SO much more important than what anyone else says. However, when they harness their flair for dramatic presentation, they can communicate in vividly and effectively. Yes, this is useful in the theatre, but can also be used in the classroom or boardroom (like when making otherwise boring presentations). They are capable of giving cold data a human touch. Famous people with Mercury in Leo include: Ernest Hemingway, Paul Tillich, Casey Stengel, Jimmy Dean, Eddie Fisher – now hold onto your seats for this trio: Napoleon, Fidel Castro, and Benito Mussolini.
Venus makes a Direct Station at 11:07 am Wednesday, at 7 degrees 30′ of Gemini. This is so that she can stand in the spotlight on the stage and let your applause wash over her like a big wave on the sand. So make some noise, throw some flowers, let her know you love her a lot. During the Venus retrograde, we may have had a change of heart about someone or something; now that Venus is moving forward, we need to hold on to this ability to give someone the benefit of the doubt, let them go if need be, but with every wish for their happiness. We need to guard against becoming hard-hearted again. On a practical note, if you have this station on a natal planet or in your second house of finances, you might see a wobble in the value of your bank account or investments or even a break in your income. Barbara Koval noted that when a Venus station occurred on sensitive degrees, prices for the dollar and commodities ruled by Venus (sugar, cattle, copper, art, money and banking) could see historic highs or lows.
The Sun opposes Pluto (11:02 am) and squares Uranus (4:10 pm) on Friday. This is a strong cardinal T-square, and makes for a day when you do not want to rock any boats, not a work where you could be fired in a second, not at home where you could be sleeping on the couch or have to spend a night at a motel. With Uranus there the chance of not only separations and estrangements, but also accidents or more likely, mechanical and electrical/electronic failures. So have your computer files backed up this week!

Your Milky Way Horoscope Aug. 7-13, 2011

By Milky Way Maid

Venus in Leo sextiles Saturn at 12 degrees Libra at 10:19 pm Sunday. You may receive a few words of kind advice, possibly from an older person or mentor. Venus softens your ambitions, putting the velvet glove on your iron fist. It always pays to be polite, send the thank-you note for the interview, etc.
Mercury (retrograde now) enters Leo again at 5:46 am Monday. Mercury also opposes Neptune in Aquarius at 10:27 am the same day. Mercury-Neptune can be confused thinking or wishful thinking, BUT it can also be magic words. Try to cook up a neat affirmation for your particular situation. Caution: do not sign anything under such a transit.
Mars in Cancer squares Uranus at 4 degrees Aries at 12:33 pm Tuesday. This would be a volatile, even explosive aspect but I think that watery Cancer dampens the volatile elements. People with a lot of natal planets in cardinal signs are going to be pretty stressed this week. If that applies to you, try to pamper yourself with a massage or exercise or whatever you like to do to combat stress. And if you work with someone affected by this aspect, be kind, give them the benefit of the doubt, let them take a little time off work if possible.
Mars in Cancer then opposes Pluto at 5 degrees Capricorn at 1:14 am Thursday, forming a tough T-square of all malefic planets. There’s no give with Pluto present here. You may just lose it, tell someone to take a hike. Well, if you are better off without that person, then OK. Some people just bring out the worst in each other. But think carefully before speaking.

PS – I am listing a few used astrology books for sale on Amazon Books; Part Two was posted July 1! Look for reviews in my column with a link to the listing. Even more titles to come soon. Thanks for your support (and patience). Note that the Intuition book, listed in Part One, has sold.

Your Milky Way Horoscope Aug. 2-8, 2009

The Sun in Leo opposes the Moon in another Full Moon lunar eclipse on Wed., July 5, at 8:55 pm Eastern Time. This occurs at 13 degrees 43 minutes of Aquarius, so check your natal planet placements. This lunar eclipse emphasizes learning to be part of a team effort, not just hogging the spotlight for oneself. Make a point of giving credit to others who have contributed to a project. Aquarius also frees you from doing things the way have always been done, and this means detaching from belief systems that limited you. These beliefs may have come from religious, societal, or family traditions, but honor the past even as you sift through to find what is worth keeping.
Aquarius is also the humanitarian, so you might start your own fund-raising effort or choose vendors who contribute to causes you believe are important. Donate whatever time you can to volunteering at the local food bank or shelter (either human or animal).
The downside of Aquarius is group-think. Allow others the freedom to seek the truth as they see it.

Mercury enters Virgo, one of the signs it rules, on Sunday evening at 7:07 pm Eastern time. Its first aspect is a trine to Pluto in Capricorn on Monday morning, when you can work on releasing mental blocks. Pluto rules self-empowerment, among other things; when reversed or poorly aspected it can mean giving your power away. The downsides of Mercury in Virgo are perfectionism and self-criticism. Give yourself credit for making progress!
I am fascinated by Yods, and one forms on Wednesday with the Moon in Aquarius inconjunct both Mercury in Virgo on one side, and Venus in Cancer on the other side. This sounds very positive and artistic for writers in particular. Venus can denote the subject of the writing project, but that could cover anything from a cookbook (especially desserts) to romance to poetry to song lyrics. Of course there is always the chance that this aspect brings a meeting with a soon-to-be Significant Other; wear your better duds.
The Moon in Pisces squares Mars and opposes Saturn on Saturday. This can make you feel more downhearted than is warranted by the circumstances. Moon square Mars is often the ‘house afire’ syndrome, where you start off fast and burn out, or you rush into some task and wind up doing it over because something doesn’t fit. Saturn is finality, so you may wind up having to trash your wasted efforts. Trust me, pop some movies into the DVD player instead.

Cher — Horoscope “Snapshot”

A Taurus Sun with Moon in Capricorn and Cancer rising would produce someone who really wants to achieve a level of material success. There was the story of when she and Sonny Bono drove past a large mansion when they were still struggling; she remarked how she loved that house and wanted to live there one day. Wonder of wonders, but eventually she and Sonny did buy and love into that same house.

A gift to my lovely readers —

As a special gift to my readers I thought you might enjoy some background music. A terrific writer and geek found these archived radio recordings of the Beatles for a Swedish radio show way back when. He cleaned them up a bit and edited them, and here they are. Five songs in cool condition. So turn up the volume alright already.
